It was a great experience. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and professional. The work was done just as it was proposed.

They sent someone out to give estimates on a few things I’d asked for and I decided to go with them for the gutters. He didn’t have the color options when he came, but said he’d send them later. He never did and when I contacted him, he said he had to measure one more time and would then get back to me with a date of service. I never heard from him. Finally called them and they said the hold up was my color choice was back ordered (?). I never picked, though the color someone picked for me seemed fine. Then they said no, the hold up was I had to pay half down before they did the work. When I said I hadn’t been told, she said, “it’s in your contract you signed.” Maybe, but you’d think they’d call with a date and ask for the half down at some point. They did finally do the gutters and it seems fine, though I’m not sure why they left my back porch undone. I plan to turn it into a room. I’ll have to add gutters at some point I guess.

Not well. Their prices were WAY above everyone else's and then they give you a bunch of "discounts", ONLY if you sign that day. After two hours of the lengthy estimate and the salesman showing no sign of leaving unless I signed, I basically had to ask him to leave and that I want signing. Of course when he left he told me that if I changed my mind to call and "maybe" they could still give me the discounts. It was beyond uncomfortable and I felt like a prisoner in my own home. I don't care how great your company is, those pushy sales tactics have GOT TO GO!!!

The front of the house needed small gutters installed on a A Frame projection over the front porch. They weren't installed. The back gutters had a noticeable bend in them. I callled to inform them seveval weeks ago to inform them of my concerns. They did send someone out to look at them and indicated they would install the small front gutters but he didn't look at the back gutters. I asked him to look at the back gutters again, the did not look properlt installed to me. Nothing has been done and it has been a couple of weeks.

It couldn't be better. They were wonderful. Very friendly installers. Very patient with explaining how the windows work. The only downside is they are a little pricey, but they are definitely worth it. They were so friendly, I have an indoor cat, and every time they opened the door, they made sure that my cat was no where near the door.

There was a delay after a promised start date. Once the salesperson got the contract signed, that was the last we heard from him. Had to deal with his supervisor.

The windows were finished in 2 days because extra workers were brought in. Originally we were told it would take 3 days. Caulked well, looks great and it is definitely warmer in the house. The back porch was completed in 4 days. Workers were friendly, professional and the crew leader walked my husband through the construction to point out everything and things we needed to know about the windows. We would definitely hire again.

We had a terrible experience with Comfort Windows of Syracuse, John Glenn Blvd.. We spent $18,000 getting siding for our house. A section the siding melted and sagged. Gayle Wiegand of the Syracuse Office saw it and promised me it would be taken care, I communicated with Joe Lamanna many, many times and he was totally useless coming to the house and telling he would stay in touch and would fix it. But he was just giving us line and never followed up. The way Comfort works is that they have you sign a contract with a third party "Alside" which produces the siding material. From the get go I felt it was very weird having to sign a “contract” with “Their Supplier”. As an Engineer I always considered that my subcontractors were my responsibility not that of the customer. Also, as an engineer I can tell you their material is made very cheaply and has a very low thermal stability. What this means if you have bay or indentations in you home where there may be reflected sunlight from windows hitting the exterior of your home IT WILL MELT AND SAG. Avoid Comfort siding, the management people don't stand behind their work or their product and the material they use is very poor.  They knew we had a problem, promised to fix it and made it impossible for us.

My stepson and I live together in his home he asked me to get a quote for 11 new windows from Comfort windows. He works during the day while I am retired. Comfort windows absolutely refuses to come UNLESS the homeowner is present.

Have been looking for a way to secure our sliding glass doors. Our special needs son has figured out how to open the doors and access the backyard whenever he wants. Although my doors are not from Comfort Windows and Doors they had locks that looked liked they would work.

I visited their heir showroom on John Glenn Blvd and purchased 4 locks. When I got them home, I realized that they wouldn't work on my door frames. I called them and they offered to trade them out for a different model. The new model works perfectly. We installed them ourselves with just a drill and a screwdriver. Although they are a spring lock (no key involved) that is designed to go at the bottom of the frame, we placed them at the top of the frame so my son will have difficulty reaching them. They work very well and replace the wooden dowels that we used to put in the tracks to secure the doors at night.

All of the people at CW&D were very pleasant and I'm very happy with the product that I bought from them.

They were very clean, everything was picked up after work each day. They were care not to damage walls, floors and misc things that might be broken. The work was done per schedule, they took pictures before and after. They also did air pressure heat loss testing prior and post project. There was a big difference between the 2 numbers so the work is making a difference. Very nice to work with as well, the installers work for Comfort, not contractors.
