After the installation I notice a seam that had a dark spot and a little void under it. I said something to Sal about it and he said he would try to work with it. After a couple of days we notice fibers around the perimeter and the seams. I called and asked for assistance and for Bill to come. I believed it was a carpet defect. The crew showed up and cut all the fibers. Sal stated he could not repair it. Sal stated that he would tell Bill we were not satisfied. There is also a metal molding cut short with a jagged edge the has to be changed. My grandson will find it eventually. At the seam the fibers started to show again, believing it was a carpet defect I requested that Bill to come. After a period of time I stop at the satellite store where I showed pictures on my phone to Bills cousin who said we could repair it. I did not get that offer from Bill and I wonder if Bill would pay a third party. Bills cousin said that she did not hire Bill to carpet her house just to avoid the concerns we have. I stop at the store to finalize this issue. He told me he could not fix the problem between the new and old carpet. There is no old carpet in the house. He said he would give me a $100.00 to make me go away. I just want everything to look nice, did not want money. Bill does not speak, he yells and uses vulgar language. I'm new to upstate NY, I found his ad in the church bulletin, I like to support local business as oppose to the big box stores. My daughter hired Athena big box store and had a great job. The installation was mid December, we believed after we contacted him he had us a on a list to come, not just ignoring us.

Bill and his staff were very professional from walking in to select carpeting to the installation process they has everything done in a couple days at the best prices around.

When we spoke with the owner we were told we could nail down some squeaky boards after the old carpet was removed and before new carpet was installed. When we discussed this with the men installing the carpet they initially refused and were extremely rude and condescending.
The price was higher than the big box stores but we wanted to do business with a local company. The workmanship was not at all what we expected. My children continually cut their toes on the tack strips that are sticking through the carpet on the stairs. When I called back afterward to address this, the owner did send someone out but they did not solve the problem and tried to blame it on us.We now have seams coming apart. It is not worth it to call back as I don't want the employees in my home again.
I am now recarpeting the lower levels of my home and will not be going back.
Update: 12/22/13: Seams continue to show and more are pulling apart, i would not recommend Bill's Carpet.

Bill (the owner) worked with us to give us a fair price and quick installation time. Workers maintained schedule. They removed old flooring replacing subflooring as needed per quote and installing new carpet or vinyl flooring per quote. Initial response was good to quality of product and initial responsiveness. Bill came the last day of installation to collect the final payment. He was courteous and responsive throughout the initial installation process. Shortly after the job was completed we began to discover areas in the vinyl flooring in the kitchen that were bubbling up and moldings that were either not staying glued or never attached. We called them to return to fix the issues but were sadly disappointed when we had to call them back numerous times to repeat some of the same repairs without a reasonable outcome. After the third call, we were informed by Sal (Bill's brother), in a rather rude and unprofessional manner, that we couldn't keep on calling them and they couldn't keep coming back. To this day, the kitchen floor still bubbles up in the same area by the basement door though they and quot;attemptedand quot; to repair it several different times. Several moldings have had to be fixed or replaced by me because they were not repaired properly. We will not use Bill's Carpet again for any job or refer them to anyone we know.

"[Member name removed], I am sorry that you may have had issues with your job . I can only address issues that I am aware of . We completed your install in June 2012. On July 6, 2012, you called to say you were missing a piece of base , we replaced that for you . On August 30, 2012, you needed a re-caulk at an outside door , where the caulk shrunk , we did that. You also had a piece of base come loose from your tub, which was moisture related , we were able to do that also . Now , a year later you post that we never took care of your issues , as far as I am aware , we never heard back from you since 8/30/12. I as an owner , have done all that was asked of , if there is an issue with an employee , I can address that , once I am aware , as I am now . I will address my employee with any rudeness . You have stated that you have taken care of your own repairs . Thank you for your information ."
