On day one, Ray took off the roof and ceiling to my living room, since it was not a flat ceiling. A tarp covered the area each day at night. It was fine. At the same time, his crew built the framing of the new room that was going above. We had to deal with wires that appeared in the living room ceiling beams and decide what to do with them. Ray even got an electrician that was less expensive to snake the wires through the existing beams to save money. He is very aware of costs. They also demolished a large closet to move it forward and raise the roof for it. The existing close had the slant of the roof, not giving us enough storage. The new closet actually has the same footprint, but with an 11' ceiling, giving us lots of shelving and clothes rods. Yah! The bathroom was also affected. In order to make a hallway into the new room, Ray had to move the bathroom wall in. The architect figured to move it in on an angle, so it feels more spacious. It worked well. So now when you ascend the staircase, our bedroom is on the right and now on the left is the hallway to the new room, with the huge closet on the way. The job was done in about 2 months. Amazing. It looks fabulous and we love it. The work is excellent and anyone he recommended was also very good. He recommended a painter, a guy to fix our outdoor screen sliding door, and a guy to snake wifi and telephone receptors up to the second floor. Excellent work. I would definitely recommend Ray and use him again if I build another room, or gut any room to redo it.
Description of Work: Ray Cacace is the owner of New Phase. He gave me an estimate along with 5 other contractors. His was the most reasonable. It. I wanted a large room built above my living rooms and half of the garage, 16 x 30. I had an architect draw it up and Ray followed the plans. If he had any questions, he called the architect or spoke with me. Ray is very knowledgable, very thorough, is on the job every day, and does not go way above the original estimate. My estimate changed because we decided to have central air conditioning. Ray does not nickel and dime the client. He is very concerned about our dollar as much as his. He is a pleasure to work with.

They had to take off the ceiling of the living room to add the room. They had to raise the ceiling a foot according to the architect's plans. They are very contentious about keeping the prices lows. The room is 16' by 26' with a walk in closet. It was a major construction project and they did an excellent job. They listened well and tried to please the customer as much as possible.
Description of Work: They added a room on the second floor of my house.
