I paid them full bid price, since I didn't want them cutting corners on my job. Mostly the work was pretty good. There were a few additional charges, which I agreed to when they were reasonable. Matt was responsive and easy to work with. Most of the job was B+ quality. Unfortunately, the painters were sloppy. Paint on floors, doorknobs, door edges left unpainted. The job also ended up taking about a month longer than the original period. Things just slowed down towards the end, although all of the little details weren't wrapped up yet. I live in the apartment below this one, so I reviewed the work daily and left notes for them. Things happen fast on the site and you have to make sure it gets done right.

Although the contractor seemed honest and attentive at the beginning, the renovation was supposed to take 6-8 weeks. We changed the locks after 12 weeks because he never came back to finish and make the necessary corrections. In addition, the electrician he hired seemed illiterate and incompetent. Everything he did was wrong, including breaking a wall light I had purchased for him to install and installing the wrong type of electric boxes. Nayci ordered the wrong refrigerator (too big) and then stuffed it into the space so that the cabinets are now hard to open. They didn't do a good paint job at all, and didn't even purchase one of the colors I requested, so that the bathroom door and trim was painted the wrong color, 3 times. They broke 2 of my lamps, did not cover up my furniture carefully, and left a mess. I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy.
