Everything came out great! I had just bought the place and wasn't living there when the renovations first started, he would call and give me updates pretty often. The only negative is that because he has such a good reputation he's very busy, so it took a little longer than expected, but in my opinion it was worth it. Would definitely recommend.

As soon as we closed on our new home, we knew right away we wanted to tear down the wall between the family and living room. John and his team were referred to us by a friend and we are happy with their work. John always gave us a descriptive idea of what the plans were for each day, and it was always easy to get in touch with him via phone call. They were all very courteous, professional and clean. It took a bit longer than we expected but it was also during the holidays. Our family room looks amazing, exactly what we wanted. We would definitely hire him again.

All that needs to be said is that everyone who walks by or drives by, stops to ask who did the work. Attention to detail and overall design was more than we could have imagined! True craftsman.

They did a great job removing the load bearing wall and installing the beam to open up our living room. They did it all within one day and left the place in great condition. I am very happy with the work they did and would definitely hire them again. John is very responsive to inquiries and is willing to work with you.

Very well. They completed within a few hours. They cleaned up afterward. The workers were very nice and very professional.

John & his team do beautiful work. We’ve hired him several times to remodel two bathrooms, a kitchen, refinished hardwood floors, install laminate flooring, and to replace our sliding glass door after we had some major water damage. Every time we’ve worked with him we’ve been extremely happy with the results. His detail & trim work is beautiful and he goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy. The projects have occasionally gone over time but the results have been well worth the wait.

John and his team did a great job. The project ran a little over schedule, but it was worth it for the quality of work done. He handled all of my concerns promptly and was always very responsive. I never had to hunt him down or wonder about the status or timeline. From the minute he came in to do the initial estimate he made me feel comfortable and confident that he could create my vision. John made suggestions but never pressured me into anything extra. He offered solutions that would help save money. At the end he contacted me to ensure I was completely satisfied before the last of his team left my house. I would not hesitate to use him again on my next project.

Overall great job done, the guys worked efficiently, kept everything neat and clean. Loved the work that was done, would definitely hire them again!

I have income property so I was not looking to spend the most, but my houses needed extreme updating, from slight plumbing to total remodeling. John provided different ideas and pricing. He remodeled 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchens. The rest of the 1 house had the ugly brown paneling from way back. in order to save money, he suggested painting it very light gray. This required fixing some panels and priming. He also touched up ceiling tiles, lighting and details that came up. It looks like a completely different house and the painted paneling looks like shiplack! He included extras including removal of a dead shrub in the front of the house and removal of loads of vines climbing up the garage, which my landscaper would have charged too much for. For our second house, he ripped up, worked with the uneven floor and replaced with new flooring which looks amazing. His workers were very friendly and accommodating as well. All of the work was done in a timely fashion because he did understand the importance of us getting it rented. I would highly recommend this company to do renovations!

Builders Mark have gifted craftsman , who have honed their craft and are competent, reliable , trustworthy, honest and I would recommend them on any job.

The downside was that John was booked for almost three months, but I am happy I waited and now understand why he was booked out that long!! The project was seamless, and he walked me through each part of the process. Even in dealing with structural repairs due to water damage I had. I referred him to my brother and sister in law, and he complete a Reno for them as well. I strongly suggest you consider John for your next project.

Amazing, after the horror story's you tend to hear about contractors. John and his crew have proven that the're are great contractors out there. John was there every step of the way, from the planing stage to the finishing details. The crew was polite, professional and trustworthy. I would recommend John and his crew to anyone!

The contractor and his employees were neat and orderly . The professionalism was top quality and workmanship was excellent. I would recommend this company over any contractor that I have had in the past and I have been doing projects for 40 years in the tri-state area.

Called for an estimate and followed instructions to text my request. Received a response that John would get back to me after the weekend. A week and then two with no call back. I gave the job to someone else. No excuse for no follow up. It's rude and poor customer service.

John and his team produced a very high quality finish for this job. Since this is our only bathroom the work had to be completed in a few hours. We are very happy with the end result and would recommend Builder's Mark to anyone looking for tiling work.

Excellent and fast work. The bathroom was completed in 2 days. I am going to hire him for all of my projects in my house. I am very pleased with the work John and his guys performed.

The experience with John was great. He was involved throughout the process and performed most of the work himself. He was friendly and professional to deal with. I had a tight timeline to fit in this bathroom remodel before the holidays and John was able to get it done with time to spare. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the finished product. You could see that he takes pride in getting it done right. I am discussing other projects with him.

John came over for estimate on deck rebuild. Told me he'd get back to me in a few days with the estimate. A week went by not a word. Emailed him and he replied saying he was finishing up the estimate and would have it for me ASAP. Needless to say the estimate never came. No one likes having their time wasted. If you didn't want the job just be up front about it. Most people would understand. Very unprofessional.

It went well. He setup the headboard and fixed the drawers.

I am extremely happy with how the deck turned out. I was looking to not only rip up and replace the old decking but also add a privacy feature along one side. This required some back and forth with both John and with the town from a permit perspective. Although it took quite a while to work it out, the results were professionally done, look great, and meet my needs. As the project proceeded, I decided to add a walkway which added a terrific finishing touch.

After a few iterations, we agreed to a contract that clearly described all the work and material to be provided by the contractor. At the end of each day, the work-sites were cleaned up very well. The quality of the workmanship was truly excellent. Also, any time we pointed out something that might need adjusting, there was no pushback, and it was promptly addressed. The contractor clearly has had a lot of experience doing this type of work, and it was demonstrated on the job.

Project went very well and came in on budget. Anything done outside of the quoted amount was fairly priced and the quality of work was excellent. The below price includes everything except the Electrical and Plumbing. It does include the HIGH quality "finishing work" related to moldings, chair rails and wall boxes.

Working with JSM was a great experience. I got a prompt response to my inquiry. John provided a prompt estimate of the work and was very reasonably priced. JSM executed the repairs expeditiously and did a nice job. Highly recommended.
