"This is a very unfair assessment of my work done for this client. The home was a circa-1900 distressed urban foreclosure and the primary reason for entering the unsat report (as per a follow-up email from the client after I contacted them about their Angies List review) was that the home-made wooden steps to the exterior access crawlspace failed several months after the inspection. ("Obviously, the stairs needed to be rebuilt. You can see how this would encourage us to leave a less than stellar review.") No formal estimates were provided for repairs for the home. These were first-time buyers and their expections for the performance of this home were unrealistic and included the desire to cover their kitchen roof in soil and plants, raise chickens on the roof, and harvest eggs through a bedroom window."
