Rock House Construction's Mike Olbermann and his crew worked to clear area for the deck and lay out our plan as we drew it up.  He made suggestions and helped with details of building permits in NY. 
Mike removed existing deck materials, prepared ground in and around the deck area, laid gravel for under the deck for storage and engineered ledger boards and deck support columns and beams.  MIke was very helpful in executing our design of the decking as well as building our specially designed herb walls and grill shed, to our specs. 
Of special note, to answer one of our requests, Mike help track down and install special frosted glass/aluminum railings with extra height (54") for privacy on the deck as well as noise blockage.  During this construction we had several major snow storms which delayed the construction somewhat, but Mike kept to our schedule and completed the project with minimal delays. 
I have worked for years as a low voltage contractor and I must admit that Mike and his crew are the best I have worked with.  The Stony Point area is blessed to have a competent and skilled craftsman such as Mike Olbermann and the crew at Rock House Construction...

Punctual, neat and respectful. Worked within the schedule they set. Cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with the finished product. We thought the price was reasonable.

They are very nice, very reliable and very reasonable. I got a couple of estimates from other providers and their costings were high. He came when he said he was going to come, its a one man business but he works with his son and another man.

Prompt, courteous, reliable, fair price, (3other roofers), finished promptly, cleaned up thoroughly, very easy to talk with, returned all cause prompt.

Two people came out to do the work. It took them around 9 days. They really did a nice job. I am happy.
