Dear member , as I had mentioned in a response message with a sincere apology , in my message I had transferred your cell into my book , which I accidentally reversed 2 numbers & had been leaving messages for a total stranger , I never herd back from you because you were not receiving my messages . I was confused because I thought you liked me & wanted to use us , but thought you decided to go with another company after not hearing back . Upon reading your review , I spent much time & then figured out my mistake , I actually transferred the wrong # into my book & even gave you then # so you could ck that it was not a story. I did deliver you a sincere apology in writing to your front door upon discovering the mix up & mentioned if there was anything I could do to help in the future to please call . I did call the stranger & he apologized for not calling me back .

Description of Work: Tom did my roof about 3 years ago now & did a good job. His price was competitive, work good & workers professional. Then I contacted him about November of 2015 to check for a possible leak. He had mentioned to me that the roof had a lifetime guarantee so I was not expecting any problems. To make a long story short I made 3 appointments with him to see the roof & each time he had a last minute excuse for not showing up. I was surprised since he was so professional when he installed it; I wasn't expecting any problems when I called him. |I hope he treats the new owners better than he did me since he told me the guaranty was transferrable, but I doubt it, since he never showed up for my work. Tom really surprised me; he came across as a real nice guy who I had recommended to other people, never again. |

Dear member , I was shocked when I read the last message you posted . When we completed your house you were so happy w/ [Member Information Removed] aspects of the job that you even took the time to print a very nice review. Then some time shortly after the completion of the job you called me & said , if your ever in the area please stop by to check on of the skylights & that you thought there might have been a problem , saying It never actually leaked , but you mentioned of a slight dark spot in the sheetrock . I replied that im sure it was not a leak but when I was in the area I would stop over . There were 3 dates when I thought I was going to be in the area , but they never worked out . Each time you were very casual about things , which lead me to believe that there was really no leak at [Member Information Removed] , & you were just being concerned because of the sheetrock which had taken water over the years before we did the roof. Not ever hearing from you ever again lead me to believe that you realized there really was no leak after [Member Information Removed] . After reading your review , I tried calling you & was unable to reach you , so I drove to the house & found out new home owners had moved in about a year ago . I left them my business card w/ a note to please call if you are having any leak & that I was the contractor that installed the roof . This was about a month ago & they never called , also on Sat. Aug 20th we had some of the heaviest rains I can ever recall , & still no word from the new home owners which leads me to believe there is no leaks at [Member Information Removed] . To be fair & honest to me , if there ever was a leak @ any time, your 1st call to me would have been please stop over , we have a leak , but that was not how you handled it . Also understand this, if you did have a problem , I would have been there right a [Member Information Removed], & I believe you know that as well after dealing w/ me. With [Member Information Removed] said please understand that @ any time in the future you have any issues w/ your roof please call me & let me know & I will be happy to check things out. unfortunately you chose a $99 tune up , which does not include replacing missing shingles, which is what you needed. all it included was minor caulking to any possible future leaks. your shingles were far from decomposed. sorry you were disappointed

Description of Work: Angie's list special for roof maintenance: Contractor arrived at my house without an appointment when I was not home. My wife answered the door and called me immediately so I could talk to him as he did not know what work he was supposed to do. I advised him he was there for the roof maintenance package and asked him to call me back after he finished the work to let me know what work was done as well as the overall condition of the roof as it is 20 years old. My wife called me back 5 minutes later to tell me that he had already left. I assumed that he spent so little time on the roof that he just did a quick inspection and was coming back later to finish the work. After about a week and no word back, I called him and left a message. He called me back very apologetic for not calling as he was extremely busy. He then took the time to explain he was on my roof for more like 10 minutes, and was able to perform all maintenance functions during that time. He also gave me a valuable assessment of the roof which I greatly appreciated. After talking to him for a few minutes, I got the impression Tom was a likeable and very competent contractor, who may be very good to work with. Unfortunately the service he provided did not demonstrate that from the perspective of meeting my expectations especially since I will need a new roof in a few years and this would have been a good audition for that service.

dear member , as I mentioned , a $99 roof tune up , is by no means the service of repairing leaks or installing missing shingles, which is why coordinating schedules is not of the essence . I am sorry if you did not understand that this service is only to seal any visible popped nails, or penetrations that may appear open , or cracks w/ in reason. that's why we can perform them w/o coordinating schedules. I arrived w/ another mechanic & actually sealed @ least. 30-40 exposed nails that were rusted all along the counterflashing where the roof terminates @ the house, then sealed one of the vent pipes. Afterwards i took the time on the ph to explain in full detail, your roof did have some missing shingles which is no part of a tune up. I also was honest enough to explain the roof is still in good condition . If you would like me to reschedule a free service call to actually show you how many exposed nails we sealed , I would be more than happy to do so. Two skilled mechanics can perform a tune up in 10 - 20 minutes depending on circumstances . Once again , im sorry if you did not understand the terms of the $99. tune up.

Description of Work: "Working with Tom and his crew was a pleasure. Tom is a professional, courteous and hands-on owner who visited our site several times to check on the progress of the job as well as the welfare of his crew. They ripped off our old shingles and put on the new roof on two of the hottest days of this past summer. |His estimate wasn't the cheapest but it was very reasonable when compared to some others. He later put in some extras which we hadn't originally discussed at no additional cost. The crew was polite and the cleanup pretty good, though we did find a few old nails around the perimeter later on. All in all, a good experience and I would recommend him to friends. |"

Everything went well, and Tom had it all under control. I can't believe how everything ran so smoothly.
Description of Work: Mr Jannace came out and covered the damaged part of the roof, caused by the hurricane Sandy. He also gave me an estimate for the whole roof. He went through the list of materiels that would be used., and told me how long the job would take. The crew he used was excellent, and proffesional. I would definitely use this company again.

My husband and I contacted a number of roofers and obtained a lot of estimates before going ahead with Tom Jannace. We are so happy with our decision. Tom and his crew were punctual, professional, and did a wonderful job. The job took two days and our new roof looks amazing! They worked really hard, cleaned up beautifully (which was a concern as we have young children who are constantly playing in the yard) and his pricing was the best we received.

I was so impressed by him as a professional. If I hadn't already started the project with someone else, I would definitely hire him. He put himself out to try and help, which he didn't have to do, and he was very helpful, and very, very nice.
Description of Work: He was unable to do the job, but he was SOOO nice about everything. He even called me to give me tips for the next person to come and do it. He even went to other people to see if they could come up with anything else to help the problem, and he didn't have to do that.

My husband and I interviewed many roofing companies and none by far interviewed with the integrityand professionalism of Tom Jannace. While they were ripping the roof off it was discovered that we needed more boards than anticipated. He discussed it with us, did the work and then did not charge us an obscene price increase for the additional work needed. His price with the additional cost was anywhere from 25 to 50% less than his competitors. Tom himself was at the job site and his crew was respectful, trustworthy and worked with such integrity it comfirmed our choice in roofers. When they completed the job all roofing materials, nails and garbage was removed from our home leaving no evidence that they were there. I highly recommend Tom Jannace roofing, if I didn't I wouldn't still have his sign in my lawn.
Description of Work: Ripping old roof (2) from house, replacement of boards, roof fan and repalcing entire roof.
