The job was completed in a timely fashion and looks amazing.

He's a very cheerful guy, and kindly made up larger paper samples of the colors I was thinking of using for the bathrooms that I used when I went looking for tile. He is an all around good guy. I was having the master bedroom re-done after 20 years. He first stripped the ancient wall paper (our house was an estate sale) and had quite a job. Evidently the people who did the wall paper in the first place used sizing (like they use in men's shirts to keep the collar stiff) behind the paper, and Ross had quite a job getting it off the walls. Then he went over everything, spackling and fixing the walls, and then put the primer on. He came to do the trim, and asked what I wanted him to do about the flood board trim because we had wall-to-wall carpet. I had originally figured that one worked from the top down, and hadn't yet decided what I wanted on the floor, but I knew I wanted to get rid of the old carpeting. So, he helped us move the furniture out of the room and take out the carpeting! The floor was stained, and some of the old padding had stuck, and I didn't want to leave it like that, so I decided to have it refinished. Ross said to have the floors done first, otherwise the dust from refinishing them would sette on the new paint and spoil the finish. He cheerfully delayed my painting job for almost a week while a company came and stripped and refinished the floors, and while the finish on the floors dried, then came back and did a fabulous job. A neighbor has also used him (she recommended him to me) and he did some specialty painting for her - staining and faux finishes.
