DECO CRETE INC

This company was quick to come over a give an estimate albeit 5 hours later than I was told. The owner provides the estimates which was very reasonably priced in comparison to other masons. He committed the work to be scheduled in 2-3 weeks however when the contract was presented to me it stated 3-4 weeks; they started at the very end of the 4th week. The crew was friendly and neat but one of the employees was caught urinating in the very back (discrete area) of the yard (couldn't be seen from the house). I guess it was better than having the crew use my bathroom regularly so I won't complain about that. What I will complain about is on the last day of the job a crack, the width of the new walkway, was discovered and the crew didn't bring it to my attention. When I questioned it they called the owner who told them they will come back to fix it. I also contacted the owner who told me the same. A few days later the crew came back and only filled the crack with a miscolored cement resin - they didn't redo their work just merely put a "band-aid" over it. The crack is definitely visible and it occurred while they were onsite so I am surprised the owner wasn't more diligent about correcting it. I let the owner know I was not happy and I have not heard from him since. Needless to say I did not make the final payment for the services as I feel it was an incomplete job. On a side note the company never called to collect it so I am certain they were hoping to wash their hands of me as it would be more timely and expensive for them to actually fix the cracked walkway than collect their final payment. Aside from the visible crack in a brand new patio and the lack of responsiveness of the company, the stamped concrete does look very nice and I am happy to now have a patio.
