Gen-Tech Environmental Services Inc

Two people from Gen-Tech, one being the primary owner with '23 years experience', came to my property and collected water samples from two well sources to test for, at my request, bacteria, heavy metals and organic compounds. I was told the results might 'take a while', and that they would let me know when the results were available. Two months later, after realizing I never received results, I called the company, got the answering machine, and left a message. I did not receive a call back. I called again a couple of days later and was told that the results would have come in the mail. I told them I never received them. The woman I spoke with said she would send them again and I received them a few days later. One of the wells tested positive for coliform bacteria (I was troubled to learn more than two months later) so I called again the very day I received the results to inquire about water treatment or mitigation. I was told by the woman that answered the phone (on a Thursday) that I would need to speak to the owner of the company for that information, and that he would call me back. I said 'I hope it doesn't take two months this time." The woman on the phone assured me he would call me. Two weeks have now gone by again and I have not received a followup call. Coliform bacteria in your well is not a good thing to drink.
Having lost confidence in Gen-tech, I subsequently called another company that was recommended to me by a well contractor. The water has been retested and coliform is not present. When the second water tester collected the water he 'cauterized' the faucets from which he collected the water. He was surprised that the first company did not do so (I witnessed the collections both times), and he surmised that that was the source of the coliform contamination in the first test.
I spent over $2000 on testing and I do not have much confidence in any of the results at this point.
Given the poor communication, failure to let me know in a timely manner that my well had tested for coliform (although erroneously apparently), questionable sample collection technique, failure to call back to discuss mitigation, etc, I am grading Gen-tech a 'D'. I would give them an F, but they were nice enough in person when they came to collect the samples.
