Excellent Job!!! Scott and Jeff and his team work on our bathroom, Excellent job!!!!Project took over a month well worth the wait and time.

We retained Troost Bros in 2016 for a complete kitchen remodel and the addition of a ½ bath in a foyer behind the kitchen. Additionally a significant update to supporting electrical service and plumbing was also necessary to accomplish the remodel. We found Jeff and Scott to be an excellent contracting team. Jeff handled the initial sales meeting and follow-up. He was very professional, informative and patient with all our questions and concerns. The estimate received was very detailed and very competitive with other contractors we had contacted. Once we chose Troost Brothers.for our remodel, they worked with our architect to secure all the Buildings Department approvals and permits and kept us informed about their estimated start date. When the job began, Scott worked closely with us to review the work done each day and plan for the next stage of work. Their on site team of workers were knowledgeable and easy to work with. While any demolition/rebuild contracting job is disruptive, we felt that the Troost Brothers and their team minimized the chaos. They were on top of the schedule and able to work around order delays and even an appliance return. They also made helpful suggestions about the installation based on their experience. They could also be counted on to follow up on any minor installation issues and manage any demolition/construction surprises. Their subcontractors, Ridge Electrical Contracting and Louis L. Buttermark & Sons Plumbing & Heating also provided a similarly high level of professionalism and friendly service. We were very pleased with the resulting kitchen and bath remodel and that satisfaction we believe is due mainly to the competence and professionalism of Jeff, Scott and their team. We also subsequently contracted with Troost Brothers in 2017 to install several replacement windows and were again very pleased with the work. The new windows were quickly and professionally installed. We highly recommend Troost Brothers and would use them again.

They're a great group of guys. They walk in, get the work done, they walk out, and I don't even have to get a dustpan out. Everything they did is absolutely great.

Work is still going on, but what is complete is gorgeous. They arrive on time everyday, are courteous, professional, and impeccably neat. So far, so good!! I can't wait to see the finished product.

Contractors always arrived early, worked hard throughout the day and were extraordinarily professional. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. One of the Troost brothers was on site each morning to check on progress and give direction to the staff. I highly recommend this contractor and can't wait to team up with them to finish my basement.

Troost Bros worked like a well oiled machine. From demolition to the last detail I was completely satisfied. The subcontractors that Troost used were extremely professional as Jeff and Scott Troost. Even when certain "glitches" occurred as happens with most jobs, I was more than accommodated.. It is nice to work with polite, friendly people. They were very careful when working in tight spaces as my home is not a large one, and very considerate in keeping the dust and mess to a minimum. Communication is the key and they did indeed communicate on a daily basis as the project progressed, and returned any phone calls promptly. This also for the subcontractors. When I decided to change some key points in the project, again I was more that accommodated and provided with the costs, suggestions and solutions to my issues. Maria who works in the office also kept me on top of plans as things progressed or changed. The price point for the job was fair and the coordination of the work crews was excellent. I have full intention to utilize Jeff and Scott Troost again for future projects.

It went so much better than expected given the age and material that the house is made of (iron, stone and concrete). The owners, crew, and all of the subcontractors were always professional. The company seemed to be one step ahead, so that any problems that did arise were dealt with in a timely manner. They also tried to accommodate any extra requests that I had while they were here. I have undergone a number of renovations with different companies, however I found the Troost brothers and their staff and crew to be the easiest and most professional to deal with. Although, it seemed like a large price tag, it was well worth the money. I would use them again without hesitation.

I contacted Troost Bros on two different occassions about two separate jobs, the first time they told me that it would be quite a while to get work done due to them being booked solid for 4 months. The lady I spoke to was very professional and up front which I appreciated and chose not to use them because I needed the job done within the next two months (why they didn't get an F). The second time I contacted them (August) I believe I spoke to the same receptionist and she stated pretty much the same thing, that they were booked solid for 3 months. I told them I was willing to wait and she responded that it would be two weeks until they could get someone out to my house to assess the job and give me an estimate. She said she would contact me during that week and book the appointment. I told her I was totally open to whatever time they had available. I waited two weeks and contacted them again because I never received a call. She said she would get back to me either later that day or tomorrow. Long story short, never received a call on either day or ever! I'm not mad at all, just wish they would of just called me back whether or not they wanted the job or not. I really don't understand why contractors choose not to call potential clients back. They seemed courteous and from other reviews knowledgeable. It's so hard to find contractors in staten island or anywhere that are willing to come to Tottenville to do work.

All work was done very professionally and as scheduled. A little on the expensive side but the quality for the higher price was definitely received. Would definitely use for future contractor needs.

Troost did a major renovation of a roof raise with bathroom 18 mo. ago. Tile had some chipping around water spout of the tub (a small issue among st the large scope of the work they did very well) that developed over the initial 18 mo. They came back in a reasonable amount of time to complete repair and stood behind their work. This is the reason I would use them again, have recommended them, and my family plans in the next few years to have a major renovation done at another residence and we will call them because you can trust them to do a good job and follow up with any issues even after they are done they won't turn there back on you if a legitimate issue arises. That's confidence in a contractor.

Very good, timing as scheduled, a small problem with the plumber who first wanted to go through the neighbor's ceiling below but then was able to fix the pipes without doing this. Troost Bros was always there to overview. Would definitely use them again

They were excellent and trustworthy and very reliable.

Craig and Ray went above and beyond. They did a wonderful job and were very professional. They listened to what the problem was and determined that we needed two brackets in place instead of one. They have done other jobs for us in the past as well and we will continue to use Troost Bros. in the future. They were a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them.

10/They are very nice to work with. They always come when they say they will. They give you an estimate and a secretary that answers the phone for any concerns and they always answer any concerns or questions. I plan to use them for many future home projects. They do quality work.

I will start by saying that you get what you pay for. In my opinion there is no finer contractor on Staten Island than Troost Brothers. Their attention to detail was second to none. First the project starts with Jeff. He specs out the job and gives you the price. He works with you on start dates and length of time to completion. They will not start your job until they have the ability to treat it with the attention it deserves. Meaning they don't spread themselves thin at all. Once the project starts you deal with Scot for the most part. I am not lying when I say I spoke with Scot every single day. Texting was a great way to stay informed or make quick decisions. Scot was on the site everyday to ensure the work was being done to the plan and my satisfaction. He has a great way about him that truly makes you feel like you are their only customer. I have heard of friends not being able to get their contractor on the phone for a week. Any issues that arose(because there will be some) Scot let me know and then gave me a multitude of options for dealing with it. From simple repair to doing it sup to nuts all options were laid out for me to decide. They don't try to over sell you. Sometimes, as was in my case I had a big repair job that they could not see until vinyl siding was taken off during demo. They gave me a bunch of options to fix it and fix it we did. Their Office staff Maria and Damien are a pleasure to deal with. They stand behind their work. Any sub-contractor they use they hold to the highest standards as well. It is a great team. Just because you get the number you were looking for in a quote does not mean that a contractor is not going to try and pull a fast one. These guys will not do that! Trust me I am not rich. I am a middle class Law Enforcement professional. Go with Troost you wont be sorry!!!!!!!

I called Trust Bros. and just as I suspected, they were extremely busy. I spoke with the receptionist and she was straight forward on the specific date that they would be able to do the work specified. Unfortunately, I am unable to wait until August to replace my shower floor. Thanks anyway Guys!

On both days, the woman who answered the phone told me the boss would get back to me. I explained to her on both days that I would need repairs to both the bathroom and the kitchen. On the second day, the woman acknowledged my call back information, but I never recieved a phone call back.

Only do estimates mon - fri 9 - 5. My wife and I work and they would not try to make effort to come to meet. We were told they do not like to do too many estimates on a single day.

What I really liked is that when they did do something wrong, they made up for it. When they put their ladder to put the windows in and we have tin siding and they didn't have foam at the ladders so there were dents in the siding. They did take care of it and did 1 or 2 other things around the house to say sorry. They made up for mistake.

Kitchen remodel and small bathroom remodel...I couldn't have been happier with the work and results. The workers were so respectful of my home and worked with minimal mess. The entire organization was top notch - from the owners to the workers. It was a very easy construction project and I would highly recommend them to anyone having work done...my faith in contractors has been restored!

If the purchase of the home goes through, we will hire them as our contractors. So far they have been very professional and we feel that they will do a good job. I will let you know how it goes!
