P & E CONTRACTING

Description of Work: P & E Contractors steal from children! Beware! We are small non-for-profit child care agency. P & E contractors were hired in May 2010 to install two commercial windows in our classrooms and install 2 sheds for two playground areas in our day care. They were provided with a 50% deposit ($2800). After completing the installation of the windows however, they never returned to install the sheds. They did not show to two scheduled work dates, nor called to cancel. They also cancelled several other work dates due to a lack of equipment and staffing. After 10 months of cancelling, re-scheduling and receiving endless excuses as to why the work was not being done, we demanded a refund. $1600 exactly from the initial 50% payment of $2800. They stopped returning our calls. We tried to contact the BBB to help mediate the issue, however they ignored their requests as well. Eventually we hired a nother ocntractor, who cost more but complete dteh work as promised. Infortunateley we remain at a loss of $1600 which ihas impacted our daycare's operating budget.
