Extraordinarily well. the refrigerator installation was done following the manufacturer's instructions to the 'T'. The removal of the other refrigerator was very challenging due to it's weight and size, but in the end it all worked out perfectly. They went above and beyond...and I would definitely call them again.
Jeff followed up with us the following night and answered all of our questions about what needed to be done, what the repair process would be like, and how long it would take. Jeff is very easy to talk to and work with and put us at ease with his expertise. On the first day of work Jeff arrived with George and Wilson they laid down tarps to walk on and did everything as cleanly as possible. At the end of every day they also removed any debris and vacuumed.
They tore apart the shower wall and uncovered a substantial amount of disgusting mold. They removed all of the moldy wood and replaced it. They reframed the window and insulated with foam around it. They put insulation in the wall, removed the moldy ceiling over the shower, sealed the wood, and replaced the walls and ceiling with green board.
They retiled the shower wall and put accenting tile around the edges and where the ceiling was removed. They installed a new ventilation fan and put a new pipe to the outside. They painted the bathroom and caulked around the entire tub on the walls and floor. They also repaired the drywall holes in one of our bedrooms and our master bathroom and had a professional painter paint the bedroom.
We are extremely pleased with the work done by Jeff, George, and Wilson. They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. The shower looks amazing thanks to the great tile work. It went from being rotted and barely inhabitable to waterproofed and beautiful.
The quality of their work every step of the way was exceptional. We are so thankful to have found Jade Construction. We will definitely recommend Jeff to friends and will be calling him again in the very near future for other major projects in our home.
I couldn't be happier with the new changes to my new home, and as soon as I have the funds for a few more things, he'll definitely be getting a call.
"This rebuttal is in response to the erroneous post of the homeowners, (removed member name) and (removed member's name).this particular project was started on August 20 2012, and work ceased on or about October 5, 2012 .This renovation project was terminated due to the conduct, and breach,of the homeowners who wanted additional work completed, which was not outlined, and agreed to in the original contract, and was well outside the scope of the issued municipal work permits.During the duration of work at the property, the homeowners were conducting their own home renovation of the master bath without approved drawings, and without the requisite permits required from the Township of Middletown.Additionally ,during this time period, the homeowners, without consent and compensation to Jade Construction, inc.,utilized a 14 yard container, secured by,and brought in solely for the contracted building project that the homeowners had with Jade Construction and Contracting Inc.Despite repeated requests,by Jade Construction and Contracting Inc., to the homeowners to seek ,and obtain, the required permits, for the additional unapproved renovations the homeowners were undertaking,Jade Construction and Contracting Inc.,terminated its relationship, with the homeowners, for their failure to comply with applicable provisions of the Uniform Construction Code. All work completed by Jade Construction and Contracting Inc., was inspected ,and approved,by Township Building Department.Inspections completed (rough):ALL PASSED / Plumbing 9/26/12 / Electrical 9/27/12 / Framing 9/27/12 / Insulation 9/28/12 .Lastly, the sheet rock was fully completed, and installed, on October 5, 2012."
Whatever Mr. Castellano's problem with me is, and he seems to have some very strange thoughts, he contracted to perform services and although they were paid for, they were not done, or not done properly, and are his responsibility.
I don't know why Mr. Castellano has taken the tact that he has, and in fact I don't care, I just want the damage he has caused to be professionally repaired, and promptly. If Angies List can't help me, my next step is legal action. Please respond on a timely basis.
When it got to their work, everything they did was don't meticulously and with great detail. There was no cutting corners or rushing the job just to get it done and get paid (I'm not saying it took long, it was done very quickly). Throughout the job, Jeff was there everyday checking in on his workers to make sure everything was going well when he wasn't doing the work himself. Throughout the process Jeff also recommended things to do in the bathroom to make it look nicer (move window, niche in shower, different tile work, etc).
While they were doing work on the bathroom, I hired them to do other work as well once I seen how good they were. They leveled off my ground level slab and installed tile and hardwood flooring. They also replaced 2 staircases as well.
Even throughout this, Jeff and his workers (especially his main helper Wellington) helped me with a lot of misc things around the house that I was trying to do myself. (changing gas valve, hooking up dryer, skimcoat on wall, etc)
Jeff and his workers did an amazing job.
I was concerned because you hear so many nightmare stories about contractors, but I lucked out with Jade because everything they did was great. Once I'm ready to renovate my kitchen or any other job I wont even waste my time calling any other contractors, I'm definitely going to use Jade again.
Once I get the pictures uploaded, Ill post them
They are a professional group: you won't hear loud music or come home to see debris. At the end of everyday, they vacuum, wipe down counters and throw garbage out (and bring it to their dumpster offsite). Wellington, who assists Jeff is talented and good-natured, with a great eye for details. He was able to make an unavoidable header in my living room look like an intentional tray ceiling by the choice of molding and style of installation.
They kept to their timeline and we are now living in a polished and beautiful home that feels like us (not fancy, just clean lines and well done). Jeff and Wellington were also good enough to help out with residual tasks like fixing an outdoor water faucet, installing blinds, and helping with a clogged drain in the children's bath. Little things like that make the relationship that much stronger.
We are taking a break from home projects for the rest of the year. However, we are planning to redo the children's bath and remodel the kitchen next year. We already hired Jade for the job.
