My condenser stopped working and I made a big mistake calling Cold King. After troubleshooting the tech determined that circuit breaker tripped. Nothing was done to analyze why it did so, some wire was tightened. But it turned out that "the coolant pressure was not adequate and more coolant was needed to put in", which was done and included in the $230 bill. The circuit breaker tripped again 1 day after the issue was "fixed". The next day it was higher than 90 degrees outside and compressor started over heating and shutting down, so the thermostat was never turning it off. I called and spoke to so praised here the owner Teddy multiple times, he said that I am am a non paying customer since I did not pay $75 for "the second service call" and they are not coming out, that is after paying $230 + $20 gratuity for the first visit with no resolution. Once the temp outside cooled, the breaker started tripping again even after replacement. I was forced to call another company who came and found that my compressor is tremendously overfilled and I needed to pay to take the coolant out of my system. The issue that caused the breaker to trip was the compressor was not starting normally and needed the hard start kit installed. I guess I am not calling Cold King again and will advise everyone I know to stay away.

Teddy, DBA cold king, is a classic example of rape and run. Besides the fact that instead of fixing my compressor, he insisted it had to be replaced, nearly quadrupling the price of the service. Then he sent young unexperienced kids to come repair the hot water heater. . .
Let me start with the air conditioning compressor. I was upset enough that the service call ended up being huge upsell, but even after that and showing up two days late, when they were done they had the nerve to tell me that they would not change the old air filter in the attic because it was too hot up there, even though the air was barely moving and not cooling down the house because of the old filter. They insisted I go buy my own air filter and change it myself at night.
Then there's the issue of my hot water heater. The system was working fine other than the fact that sometimes it wouldn't wake up when the water heater thermostat would call for more hot water. His inexperience technicians did not understand the problem so they began to just replacing parts. It's no sweat off their back, because they just simply charge me as they continue to experiment. $570 later, they claimed it's fixed, left the boiler room a mess, and even left one of the heater zones disconnected. The hot water heater failed about a week later and to his credit he did dispatch somebody who came over and simply turned the system on and off and it began to work again.
Then get this: it failed again last week and I called Teddy. He said he was busy and that he would call me back the next day. The next day came and went so I left him a long text message explaining how upset I was and how unprofessional he was behaving. And here's the crown jewel of my experience with Cold King: Teddy calls me back and says he just got around to reading my message and he is upset that I called him unprofessional, and that he does not want to be married to my hot water heater, so I should find another HVAC company.
I know some people leave negative reviews are disgruntled, and even severely exaggerate their experiences in order to make the problems seem larger. But I can assure you I am not exaggerating whatsoever. This guy and his fly-by-night company are the most unprofessional, unethical HVAC company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I strongly suggest you stay clear of him and find a more reputable company if you need HVAC work.

Ted, the
owner, stopped by for an estimate the next day I called him. He was very courteous
and friendly. Having degree in architecture and professional experience in
facility management, I had estimates done with four other companies prior to
making a decision to go with Cold King.  While
prices were very similar three times out of five, with one being unreasonably
higher than the rest and one offering inadequate equipment, we went with a gut
and were able to negotiate a very good deal with Ted. The Cold King team showed
up the next morning and worked throughout the day to replace entire air
conditioner split system and the water heater. While we did encounter a little
unexpected condition which somewhat altered the original plan, Ted was very
professional in dealing with it and we were able to work out a reasonable
compromise.  The team crunched the whole
project up into one day and took all of the old equipment and debris with them,
cleaned around the areas of installation and left no trace. We were very
impressed and happy with the result and so far had no problems with the
installation.  I also spoke with the neighbor
who, it turned out, used Cold King two years ago to replace her equipment as
well and her impression was very similar to mine. Two thumbs up Cold King!
