1. We were told when we received the original estimate that the work would be performed in about 3 weeks from that date. It actually took over a month to get the appt. and we were never given an explanation nor an apology for the delay.
2. There was a relatively simple question regarding whether or not we were entitled to a discount through Angie's List that could have been resolved in one phone call. Instead, it took four phone calls over the period of a week to get resolved.
3. This is the main and most serious issue. When the appointment was scheduled and confirmed, we were told that the technician would be arriving between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. When he hadn't shown up by 1:00, my wife, who had been waiting all morning for him, had to call the company to find out what what happening. She was told that the technician was having a problem with his first job, and it was taking longer than anticipated. The appointment was rescheduled two more times later that day, and each time when the technician had not showed up within the time frame, it was my wife who AGAIN had to call the company to find out what was happening. By this time, it would now be well after 3:00 before the technician would even get to our house, and since we were told that it could take 5 hours or even longer to complete, it seemed obvious to us that the job would have to be rescheduled for another day. However, it was only after a rather vehement protest on our part, were we able to get the company to agree to reschedule.

Our goal is always to deliver what we promise in every way and it is obvious that we fell short of these goals. First I would like to apologize for having a less than great experience and based on your review overall everything was as you expected, but we obviously fell short and this helps us fix any problems with our protocols. 1. Generally when a Door is ordered an install date is held based on the Factories written delivery date. In some cases as in yours the Factory falls short of their goals as well and we don't get product delivered on time. in your case we were delayed a week. 2. As far as your a Angie's list Discount is concerned, ALL Angie's list members receive the same discount and this should have been communicated to you on the very first phone call. 3. Last and most important when we schedule an installation we realize you have made time in your day to receive us. In rare cases an installation may become more difficult or complicated than expected and all our Technicians have been trained to make sure when the installation is complete that it is perfect no matter how long it takes. This obviously impacts the second job when this happens and again this was in your case. Please know that the delay was because of our deep convictions in our quality and workmanship. Over all I know you are happy with the quality and workmanship of your new garage door but that is only part of the job, our customer service fell very short of our goals and for this please accept my sincere apologies. Training is a continued process at Christie Overhead door so when we don't reach our goals we take that opportunity to review, discuss and repair these issues. They did a wonderful job. I can't compare their prices to others but I guess it's compatible. The quality in terms of the product is very good, very nice and it's beautiful. They were very prompt. they called me when they were coming. They called me when they were on their way. They were very good to deal with. I had a minor issue which was no big deal and they just came back and took care of it so it was no problem. They were great to deal with and even the office staff was wonderful.

Our service charge is $75.00 plus tax so your actual payment was $81.66 to have a professionally trained Technician come out to your home and diagnose your real problem without taking advantage of you. They were professional, courteous, quiet, and swift. I don't remember the name of the person who did the work, but I liked that he took the time to explain his findings and recommendations as well as describe exactly what he was going to do and why. He completed the work quickly and even went out of his way to clean the garage door seal, something not strictly listed in the service. My door now operates faster, more quietly, and the garage is warmer because the seals were adjusted.
