Approximately a week ago I received a $180 maintenance bill, which perplexed me and prompted a call to Bob Mims. The customer service rep that answered my call was unable to explain what the maintenance bill was for and transferred me to Vinny for clarification. Vinny stated that the $180 maintenance bill was for a one time service tune up of unit and that I would receive a bill every year, which must be paid. I informed Vinny that I was never advised of this maintenance bill during the estimate appointment with him and installation appointment, nor did the contract/bill of sale specify such. Vinny stated that if I didn't pay for the maintenance agreement and my unit didn't get serviced, my manufacturers warranty would be voided. When I asked Vinny how was I supposed to know this? He responded "because you own a house!" This response is unacceptable! When I asked Vinny who the owners of the company were, because I wanted to go up the chain of command to address my concerns, he stated that the owners were "absentee owners".
Please note, that Vinny was the sales rep who provided me with an estimate for the condenser.
This is unacceptable and against the law. Avoid this company at ALL COSTS!!!
