We needed to prevent water from seeping into the bottom portion of our 2nd floor sliding door and the 1st floor door  as well. We had consistently had a slow drip of water when there was an excessive and down pour type of rain, in both sliding door areas.
The owner, Bob, did stop by each day that the work was being done.
A two man crew arrived early in the morning, around 8:30/9 am. They quickly removed the old sliding door from the 2nd floor first. The wall extension was built out with new sheet rock, taping and compound.  The new door was installed and sealed (flashed/tarred/caulked) within a few hours. The 1st floor door was done on day 2, removed, replaced and resealed (flashed/tarred/caulked) since it was less work. The new siding panels were replaced on the 2nd floor to really closely match the existing siding.
We were happy to find that none of the support beams were damaged by the water, which we got to view once the door on the 2nd floor was removed.
The workers were neat and organized. The work took a total of 3 days. The third day was mostly sanding the new wall in the 2nd floor to accomodate for a smaller door and to clean up any thing left undone or their materials.
-- We recently needed to have the screen door re-screened for our 1st floor sliding door... and Bob (the owner) got my message and was able to have it fixed within a day or so.
We were very happy with the work that was done. We would consider using his services again if we needed anything... Affordable Home Improvements does a variety of home repairs.

The workers arrived on time, on the day specified. The workers arrived at 8am and left each day about 4pm, they worked very diligently. Both doors had to be completely removed before the install began. Bob did show up every day to check on the job.
The 1st floor door was completed on day one. This was the easier of the two, since no other work needed to be done to complete removal and installation. Screen fit perfectly.
Day 2- The 2nd floor door was removed and new door installed, along with the a/c removal, sheetrock/spackle replacement in that space and the build out of the exterior/interior wall to complete the condensed space to go from the 6 foot door to a 5 foot door.. I was very impressed with their work and the detail put into it.  The screen with that sliding door did have damage to the lock/opening mechanism. I notified Bob the next day. The new screen was reordered and installed within about 3 weeks.
Day 3- another coat of spackle, clean up and sanding (which was nice and evenly done) was completed.
They were neat and clean. All debris was removed by a separate person at the end of the work day, or end of the following work day.
All of the work and debris removal was completed within 4 days.
We are happy to say that we were/are very satisfied with the quality of work that was done. We are very happy to say that with all of the spring rain storms, and a few heavy ones-- we do not have any issues with water/leak damage. We are definitely thrilled for that!
We would recommend this contractor.

They specialize in siding and windows, they don’t do everything, and that is why they are so good in what they do.  We were just planning to have half the windows done and when I saw the products, we ended up getting all the windows done.   Bob, who ran it, put rounded wood around every window and it looked perfect.  I was afraid that if the window guy died, I was never going to find anybody to match the rest of the windows.  It was amazing.  So we got the windows and the doors done.  They did the most professional and clean job.   I can’t say enough about their work.  Bob was awesome.  He was the nicest guy in the world.  They were unbelievably great and very reasonable.  The front door, the inside door and the fancy hardware and the glass door came up to $2500.  My brother handled the payments and I don’t remember how much the rest of it came up to.  The main thing however, was that the job they did was mind blowing.  My brother died and after that just to get my mind off it, I got rest of the windows and doors put in and they could have easily taken advantage of a lone woman but they did not and ended up doing the best job ever.  I did not even trust them and I told them that because I was taken advantage of so many times and Bob made sure I did not have any trouble.

They did a good job. They were a little pricey. There were two guys and they were really good carpenters. They redid the molding around the doors and they did a really good job.
