Roof looks great. They work fast even though it was hot out. I had an issue at the end, not really roof related. Joe the owner personally rectified it. All's well that ends well.

They did a very good job and the carpenters and mechanics were excellent and personable. The boss from the gutter guys was not as personable, but overall, I was pleased with the work and I would definitely hire them again.

Joe was great, he gave me a competitive price, did the job on the date we agreed on, it came out very nice, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They replaced my 30 year old roof and gutters after I head a leak. They did a great job, especially having to work around my deck and pool and trees near the house. They cleaned up everything afterward.

Joe was very easy to work with. He checked in with me frequently during the course of the job. His workers showed up everyday, on time, and worked a full day. I share a driveway and asked that they be particularly careful about nails and debris in the driveway -they made it a point to keep it clean and clear. The gutters are installed by a third party but Joe was here the day they arrived and went over what was to be done with me present. They did an very good job as well. Am very happy with the work, the clean up and the professionalism of Joe and his team. I would hire again.

Joseph is very professional. He has a great team! They installed a new roof and 3 skylights on my house. We had just finished stucco on our house and have pavers all around the property. Joseph Ashley’s team was diligent not to dirty the stucco or pavers and did a beautiful job. They even made sure not to interrupt the neighbors property.

I am very satisfied with the work. Not only did he replace the roof but he also installed new gutters. I am looking forward to doing business with Mr. Ashley in the future when I am ready to replace my windows. Two thumbs up for ACJ remodeling and Angies list for recommending this company.

I am writing this review a year later after the roof was completed and I am happy to say that the roof has been great so far - we weathered several tropical storms in 2020, and the roof showed no evidence of that. The work was competitively priced (reasonably so, not suspiciously low), and they made a slight adjustment I requested that deviated slightly from what they usually do. The work was completed in the timeline promised - which I believe was 2 days - roof was totally ripped off, damaged beams were fixed, a new roof was installed, and trash/demolition debris was taken away promptly at the completion of the job. They came back to fix a very very minor thing we noticed after inspecting the completed job. I would say that this was the most stress-free major renovation project I have done.

Joe and the men he has working for him were great. He answered all my questions, came by when I called and asked to see him. He did a wonderful job and I have actually hired him to replace my windows. I was so satisfied with everything. I am also very impressed, he is definitely not one of those contractors who disappear after the job is finished, He is very approachable and doesn't make you feel like he is trying to take advantage of you. I highly recommend him.

Joe and crew were an excellent choice. The workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail made the experience so pleasant. Joe was constantly in touch to ensure the results were satisfactory. Definitely will rehire and highly recommend them.

I am very happy with the siding job by Joseph Ashley. Joe was very knowledgeable, honest, and forth coming when I meet him. Everyone on the crew were really professional and did an excellent job. You can tell they take their time to make sure the job is done right and not just rushing to get it done. They answered all my questions and concerns that I had and made sure everything was to my liking before they finish the job. The house looks great and feels warmer than before. Joseph and the entire crew of ACJ Remodeling went above and beyond to give us the home we've always wanted. After meeting with several contractors, Joseph was the clear standout as he was experienced, dedicated and personally invested in giving us a home we would be proud of. His staff was knowledgeable, talented, polite and respectful of our property as well as our neighbors. I was expecting a total remodel of our 100 year old home (while 9 months pregnant) to be stressful but Joseph made each day worry-free. His knowledge and years of experience made any issue that arose during the construction a seemingly easy fix. His design suggestions and dedication to use only quality materials left us with a finished product well above our expectations. The contract process was clear and kept within the promised estimate. I cannot thank Joseph and his crew enough and will certainly both recommend and use him for projects in the future. ACJ is a gem on Staten Island!

We found Joseph a few years ago on Angielist. He a gave a quote to repair our roof. Unfortunately due to finances we were unable to use him then. After years of having others fix/repair the roof cheaply and incorrectly we found Joseph again on Angieslist. Joseph and his crew replaced our flat roof and shingles correctly in two days. No more leaks. They were very professional, honest and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company

Don’t hesitate to hire Joseph Ashley. Work was first rate, communication was excellent. Every person dealt with from owner to foreman to crew extremely professional. Job completed on schedule with no issues. Clean up was fantastic. Definitely using again and would highly recommend.

Joseph did an amazing job in every respect—from the initial consultation to the final installation. He was so patient and always had time to meet or speak by phone to answer my questions and concerns about the project. And the final result looks incredible—the skylight completely transformed the space and after almost a year, we’re still absolutely thrilled with it. Unlike the other contractors we spoke to, Joe’s team is skilled in structural work, drywalling, painting, and all kinds of other contracting work—and all of this was factored into the price. To top it all off, Joseph was the least expensive of any contractor we spoke to (significantly cheaper)—and the most willing to follow our lead and design specs. I would work with him and his team again in a heartbeat. Truly excellent service. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
