Everything went extremely well. I was nervous because it was a big job to me. I was convinced to use this other roofer, but when I spoke with Joe on the phone, his enthusiasm attracted me to meet with him to hear his offer. Joe described his product well. The skylights he put in are wonderful. In my neighborhood most important is the sealing behind the gutters for unwanted visitors. Joe showed me the wood and metal that goes behind the gutters to appease my worries.It was an excellent suggestion to replace the skylights, because although I spent more money, the whole job then is guaranteed by him. If the old skylights stayed and should leak, it would end up costing more money and it is much better to have the skylights replaced When doing the roof. His price was very good for the huge job they did so effortlessly. Joe is available for any questions or concerns you may have. He spot checks during the entire job. How did it go? It went perfectly! We needed a roof...sort of. While there were no issues with our current roof, it was approaching 27 years old and we didn't want to take any chances plus we recently had new windows installed and our home and garage painted so a new roof would give us more curb appeal. I did my homework. I checked out four different roofers and while I did have one that met Joe's price, I knew from the minute I met Joe, he was the guy. I trusted my instincts with him and I was correct. I sat down and read every one of their reviews on Angie's list and that just convinced me even more. Joe's a homeowner, he's a family man, and while he's also a businessman, he doesn't make you feel like it's all about the sale. He sits down and talks to you. He finds out what you want and what you need. He doesnt try to over-sell. When you have work that needs to be done in and around your home, there's a certain level of stress that goes along with that and while we're in the midst of doing a million things at once, Joe made this a stress-free experience. I'm very happy that we went with ACJ Remodeling. The materials were delivered when he said they would be, his crew showed up on time, and he was here. They were all very professional, they were very polite, and they cleaned up after themselves. I had absolutely no complaints with the quality of the work. I contracted Joseph Ashley to replace a roof on my house. His quote was more than reasonable and the work was completed in less than a week. Joseph Ashley is an honest man and will give you the facts as they are. His crew was professional and trustworthy. They placed a new roof as well as replaced replaced the roof on my extension in less than a week. Because of the great work on the roof I had ACJ Remodeling Joseph Ashley remodel a bathroom that was just a shell due to a botched former contractor and damages of the roof leaking. In two weeks I had a brand new beautiful bathroom AND a laundry room! My bathroom has beautiful tile work, shower and insulation and a heater in a place that when it was functional was ALWAYS freezing! Not only that, but the walls of my extension were restuccoed! Joe Santillo is the guy for the work you nee!!! I began my search for a construction company for at least six months. I met a few "A" rating companies because I wanted to accomplish a job well done that will last me for many years. A few of them were reputable companies but wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to complete the work I needed done. I understood it was going to be expensive however, they were expecting for me to sell the house to be able to pay for the work I needed to get done. The day I met Joe talking to him and knowing his excellent reviews, I was really expecting another unreachable amount of money. To my surprise the price was not what I expected. It was more than a fair price plus he included stuff he didn't charge. He even included a storm window that he personally requested to be custom made for my home. After spending 20 minutes with Joe, I knew he was the guy for the work the home needed. He was willing to listen, offer valuable suggestions being that he has many years doing great work. As he stated " I love my job this is why I do it well from the beginning " His crew is reliable, personable and trustworthy. They were always on time, I was able to call them and they were always willing to help and accommodate my request and most importantly I was able to come to work and even go on a trip and leave the key to my home for them to finish the job. The job is now finally finished and I am not only happy but completely satisfied with everything he did to the house. If I ever need work done I will not think twice to call Joe.

We were really happy with ACJ. The original roof on our 105 year old wood frame house was still there, but it had been covered by several more layers of shingles added over the years. The time had come to take down the whole thing and completely replace the roof. Joe and company's bid was slightly more than the other bid we got, but we were very impressed by their professionalism and by the great word of mouth we'd heard from our neighbors. I had special requests about how I wanted the attic insulated and ventilated, and they were incredibly responsive. The project was done on-time, and looks great. We definitely would recommend ACJ to others (and we have!)

There’s almost nothing as fundamental as a roof over one’s head. When we learned that the roof on our newly purchased home was problematic and needed to be replaced we got quotes from five different companies. Having delayed the inevitable for many years, it was time to replace the 2-3 layers of existing roof and old aluminum siding on our house. We received estimates from several local contractors, including ACJ Remodeling Joseph Ashley. After meeting with Joe S. to discuss options, pricing and his suggestions, we decided to hire Joseph Ashley. To sum up our experience with Joe and his team -- EXCEPTIONAL! We could not be more happy with our decision to hire Joe. His honesty, integrity, fair pricing and exceptional quality standards resonated from start to finish and he was a pleasure to work with. Joe and his team, led by Caesar, were professional, courteous and went over and above our initial agreement without "unforeseen" charges or cost overruns. What began as a roof and siding replacement job turned into a remodeling project. Joe's "vision" to replace a flat roof over our sun porch was brought to reality with Caesar's craftsmanship and has cured a longstanding water problem in that room. The work done by Joe and his team included complete replacement of our roof (including new plywood and copper flashing for the chimney), siding, gutters and leaders, new (custom) side door, new front door and sidelights (including interior plastering and woodwork), rewiring of outdoor lights and attic window replacement. Joe offered several suggestions and recommendations as the work progressed, most of which we accepted, but never did we feel pressured to do so. In the end, the job exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled with the results. We have received compliments from neighbors and passers-by. Joe would get a 6 star rating if it were not for the 5 star maximum. We have already retained Joe to replace additional windows in our home. Couldn't have been more pleased. We looked around and spoke to a bunch of contractors, but ACJ was far and away the most thorough, clear, and invested in the project. You could tell that Joe really loves what he does and his guys are pleasant, professional and hardworking. Joe worked with us to find way to make the house look just like we wanted it to within our budget. He listened to our preferences and made suggestions based on what we could afford. I can't think of an aspect of the job that we weren't pleased with. It all went really smoothly and we're so pleased with the quality of the job and the way it looks. If we need another job done, ACJ will be the first contractor we call.

The job was started on a Tuesday the crew arrived on time ready to work and boy they worked in fact it was a show in my neighborhood as my neighbors watch on as they tore the roof down and replaced it. The demolition was handled very well as debris was landing on two other properties that I gotten ok from the home owners to work there and cleaned it up as quick as possible. As one side was stripped one team started putting up the new roof. Joseph stopped by site everyday to make sure I was satisfy with work being done. By Thursday they were done and the roof look great it has given new live to the house. Overall Joseph and his crew performed above and beyond expectations the materials were excellent quality and the crew were very friendly and professional and I will be hiring Joseph again in the future as I have other repairs need for my home Thank you Joesph

When We first called and spoke with Joe, We asked a few questions about his quality of work, the materials he uses and how long it will take to finish the job. He made a few recommendations and some of the things he said we weren’t sure about. Upon calling a few others for second opinions we realized that everything that Joseph said was true and accurate. We felt comfortable choosing Joe because he knew exactly what to do to insulate our home and all of the nuances of doing siding and roofing on an older home. It is not always one size fits all and he is wonderful with that. We knew he was the right choice because you can tell from speaking with him by phone and in person he took the time to explain everything from the beginning of the job to the end. He came every single day to check on the work and to see if we had any questions. Cesar was magnificent, as well as all of the men who worked on our house. Very professional, timely, courteous and Best of all did such a wonderful job that my neighbor also used them. We have recommended them several times to other friends and we feel comfortable knowing that they have done a beautiful and professional job. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Roof replacement project can be a real pain. Finding an excellent roofer is the toughest part of the whole process: everyone has his/her unique sales pitch, everyone claims that he / her is telling you the truth or “truth”, everyone claims that he / she is giving the best deal. After researching and interviewing some roofers, I am glad that I chose Joe and his crew. What Joe stands out from the rest with his honesty and his assurance. From the minute I spoke with him, I felt that I can trust him completely with the project. His willingness to go above and beyond is what seals the deal for me: he invited us down to see his work where he drove us around the neighborhood, answering any questions we had and always very patient. In addition, he agreed to do something extra for us at no extra cost! The most important part - his pricing is more than fair! After being in the business for a long time, you can trust his vision of the finishing product. He loves to say “I do a beautiful job”, the fact is that he and his team indeed does a beautiful job. The team, led by Alex, is very professional during the 5 day installation process. He answered my questions in great detail. Joe comes by everyday to check and to ensure the quality of the work. We contacted Joseph after reading all the positive reviews on Angie's List. Sure enough, Joseph was very responsive and punctual. He gave me a fair quote and was able to work around my schedule. The work was completed on time and we are very happy with the results.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the work performed by Joseph's crew under his leadership. All estimates in terms of pricing, timing, etc were accurate and were met without any issues or delays. Joseph is fair, runs and honest operation and is not someone who will nickel and dime you at all. I would definitely recommend, and would hire again.

Work was fine. Came a few weeks later than planned but no problem. Initially didn't complete job as discussed but did after a follow up call. All was good for about 6 months when the "covered gutters" which we were told are guaranteed not to clog were overflowing in the rain. Now we can't do anything ourselves because they are sealed. A lot of phone calls later someone from AJC came- they were clogged. 6 months later happened again. Now after 4 years of emails and phone calls by my husband and I , which start with Joe telling us nothing is wrong and end with him promising to send someone to evaluate, we have given up on AJC. We are in the process of getting estimates to replace the 5 year old gutters. Not sure what the problem is because he just never showed up !In the mean time there is a water problem in the basement in direct line with the overflow of water running down the building. Wonder if the 2 are connected!

I can't be more pleased with the work provided by Joe and his dedicated crew! Joe took the time to explain what was needed and ensured I understood his reasoning for the planned work at the time he provided his estimate. He delivered on all recommendations including start date, completion date and scope of work as outlined in the contract. He always made himself available for questions and inquiries and did a walk through at the end of the project to make sure that all of my questions/concerns were addressed to both myself and my wife's satisfaction.

It went better than expected. We had a great experience with Joe and his crew. They were extremely knowledgeable, extremely professional and clean. I would refer this company in a heartbeat. Joe, was and did, everything he said he was going to do. He had his crew there when he promised and they were timely and worked quickly. In our neighborhood, the houses are close together and on one side you couldn't help with the debris getting into the neighbor's yard. Without getting into it in detail, this neighbor put up a fuss with the guy on the job at the time. The entire situation was handled calmly and reasonably. Joe stayed in communication every step of the way. There was even a slight issue with another house and he took care of it right away. No questions asked. We went through several contractors because we knew this was going to be a big job and we liked everyone we spoke to, but Joe stood out. He was up front, showed us the materials he would use, told us exactly what he was using and why he was using it and was an excellent communicator from the start. The roof came out beautiful. We truly had a great experience and again, would highly recommend his services. We are also confident that should any issues arise, he would step right up to the plate again.

We decided to do a complete remodel of our house, new siding, new roof, nine new windows (including a large bow window). It was a huge job and we were unsure as to where to start looking for a contractor. We had a subscription to Angie’s list, so we started to look there. The many positive reviews for Joe were hard to ignore – so we gave him a call. Joe is a remarkable guy, he called us right back, we setup a meeting a day later – he made us so comfortable, we walked around the house, we discussed ideas, he helped us choose the best products, colors, etc. The actual remodel was amazing. Old roof was off in a couple hours and the new one went up. The rest of the job was completed in a about a week. Workers were professional, cleaned up all the debris, replaced moldings and outside lights. We are extremely satisfied with the finished project. The house looks great; I’d recommend Joe and Ashley Remodeling to anyone. – You will not be disappointed.

Joseph is a highly professional contractor who we selected because of his expertise, strong reviews on Angie's List, communication style (very clear, direct, and personable), as well as his fair price. Overall, we were very pleased with Joseph's work and would highly recommend him. Regarding roofing, Joseph uses quality products, and included gutters and leaders in the price. His exterior crew did a fabulous job with our house and attic, and they took care of additional concerns, such as a section that needed covering due to birds nesting. The cleanup was thorough and the men were skilled and attentive to detail. Regarding the interior, Joseph's crew was hardworking, pleasant, and attentive to our concerns. They completely redesigned the plumbing in our bathroom, and did very fine tiling work as well as fixture installations. They painted each room nicely and rebuilt the shelving in our closet and foyer to our liking. Joseph is available to discuss anything and is very good about staying in touch with you. He takes pride in his work, and makes sure you're happy with the progress. He addressed our concerns in a professional manner and will work closely with you to finish the job to your specifications. After days of research I came across ACJ Remodeling on Angie's List. They had also did the roof on my neighbors house. From day one Joseph made me feel comfortable. He explained all aspects of the work that needed to be done from beginning to end. His crew were very considerate hard working and very clean throughout the process. They were timely on point and very professional. We had a new roof, gutters and soffits installed. They use top notch materials and were meticulous with every phase of the job. I had apiece of a gutter loose on my garage that was not part of the original quote and they went ahead and fixed that also NO CHARGE! If I ever needed to contact Joseph he was a phone call or text message away and responded immediately. He would also call me to make sure I was happy with the days work. All this and he gave the best quote. I can't say enough good things about ACJ, Joseph and his crew. I highly recommend them. As anybody knows having work done on their home is a scary proposition but ACJ Remodeling was a bullseye for me. They will not disappoint!!!
