Joseph Ashley did an absolutely amazing job and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. A job like this can be a little daunting for a homeowner, but their staff made sure all of our concerns were completely addressed along the way. Joseph Ashley is a class act and was a pleasure to work it.

Joe and his crew were very professional and did a fantastic job. He was very responsive and gave us a fair estimate. They were very polite, efficient, trustworthy, and completed the job in just 3 days! I would definitely hire them again.

The job went well overall. Quality of work is good. Neighbors (some who were contractors themselves) came by to inquire and compliment on the quality siding installation as well as the capping of the windows. Work was started on time and the JA team cleaned up after each day. Joseph checked in periodically and was always available for questions. The installation took about four days with minimal issues. Overall happy with the work and the quality of materials used. Prior to choosing JA, we obtained a number of estimates from local installers. JA's pricing was in the middle tier. Ultimately, we decided to go with JA after seeing some of their other projects in the neighborhood, the reviews on Angie's List and noting the number of related projects performed, the type of comparable materials used, the 7 Year Warranty, as well as their professionalism. Joseph is very personable and he has a good team. We look forward to working with Joseph and his team again given the opportunity.

Joseph was friendly, knowledgeable of the situation at hand and professional. We were very impressed with his punctuality and time it took to complete the job. Everything discussed at initial meeting was completed in a timely fashion. Joseph took the time to walk around the house and explained in detail everything that needed to be done as well as preventatives. The cost was reasonable.

From the time I first called Joe for a free estimate, I felt very comfortable working with him and his company. They are family run business and they provide very personal, and thoroughly professional service. I didn't rate them for punctuality because it rained a lot last Fall, and the starting date of the job was delayed, due to no fault of their's but because this profession is so affected by the weather. But Joe kept in touch with me throughout the delay, so I felt confident that the work will get done as fast as it could be done. When the work commenced, all the workers were very courteous and considerate, doing their best not to inconvenience us. They worked fast and efficiently, but with obvious attention to the detail to do the job right. After it was done, they were also very neat, and cleaned up everything without leaving any debris. Probably, there are cheaper contractors out there, but if you live in Staten Island, and want your roof done right, Joseph Ashley is the roofing contractor you would want to contact. '

They did an excellent job. Their roof has a 50 year guarantee. They were very efficient, and completed the job in just 2 1/2 days. And they cleaned up perfectly after the work. I consider this to be a well class service.

Joe and his team did an excellent job fixing our roof! I was so impressed with how thorough and prompt they all were. It was a big job, and after leaving they cleaned up so thoroughly it would be hard to know they had ever been there. During the course of the project, a minor issue with the top floor ceiling related to the roof repair that Joe addressed immediately. In short, part of molding came off and Joe arranged for it to be fixed and remolded to perfection within just a couple days. This was particularly impressive, as it's the original molding from 1899 and we couldn't even tell the difference after it was repaired by hand. I'd highly recommend using Joe and his team--he does great work, charges a very fair price for the quality of his services, is very prompt and truly cares about making sure he leaves every job in tip top shape. Highly recommend!

The work went great and as planned. Consulted with Joe about taking a look at our roof and seeing what would need to be done to repair or replace it due to it being the original roof of the residence and it was starting to leak in certain places due to wear and tear. He educated me a bit about roofing conditions and made an appt for him to come take a look at it. After an inspection, he showed my wife and I pictures he took of the roof and how it looked and felt to him as he walked over it. Joe explained that we didn't need to take out the old roof and that we could lay over a new layer as this was a common thing to due since we only had the single original layer. He showed us the different options and colors to choose from and then pricing. The entire conversation felt honest, fair and not rushed. We felt he gave us a good deal for the new roof. The day of installation went smooth as well also. The whole job took about 6 hours and they left everything clean like they were never there, except for a brand new roof that looks beautiful! I know this because Joe and his crew took pictures and sent them to me. Definitely impressed by them and their work and would use them again without hesitation. Thanks again!

Very well! Started with and honest and strait forward estimate, price range under our other estimates and seemed more knowledgeable about our roof type. Once started it was completed in 3 days, with great attention to detail. Good communication throughout the project before and after completion!

The job (new roof/gutter replacement) was well managed i.e. planned, organized, directed, monitored and controlled properly and was completed in one day. A professional staff on site conducted themselves in a businesslike manner and completed the job efficiently and effectively. Well done!

Work to be done was explained and price was agreed upon. The workers came early on the day scheduled and took a little more than half a day to complete. I am satisfied with the job and would recommend their services to anyone else.

Wonderful job from consultation to cleaning up, after the job is done. Everything else in between was performed beyond my expectations. Good quality materials were used from experienced and courteous staff. Last minute suggestions were implemented with no hesitation, and for no extra charge. Even though there was a long waiting list, surprisingly during winter, before job could be started, it was well worth the wait!

Joseph was professional, prompt and courteous. He explained all work and also anything that may happen. Gave a date and finished same day. From day one he felt like an old friend. His workers were an image of his business. Love my new roof. Will definity recommend.

Joe's bid was lower than the others we received and he came with great recommendations, so we decided to go with him even though he had a two month backlog of jobs. We are very glad we did. His team has been working together a long time and is exceptionally professional and hardworking. Joe was very communicative at every stage of the process, keeping us posted about when they'd be able to begin, how changing weather conditions would affect the schedule, and how the work was progressing. Our roof looks great, and his guys even went the extra mile to clean out a hard-to-reach stained glass skylight. We couldn't be happier.

Crew replaced 7 old windows and did an excellent job. I've had contractors here for other estimates and they all commented on the quality of the window work. This is our second time hiring the Joseph Ashley team and we'll be hiring them again soon for another project. Joe, Angel, and the whole crew are very professional, thoughtful and capable. Roof is 22 years old, Called five companies to check roof leak one guy looked on google earth at roof while on the phone, one guy came to house and gave prices without going on the roof. Two where no shows. Mr. Ashley called me back and said he was coming over to look at it as soon as one of his trucks with a ladder comes available. He came over took pictures of the roof and showed us where the problems where. His crew came and completed the job and cleaned up any debris.

I bought a building in Brooklyn in 2011. The first issue I ran into was a leaky roof. I called Joseph because of the reviews I had seen on Angie's List. Joseph's bid was in line and in fact a little cheaper then some other bids I received. I decided that he was the person for the job based on his knowledge of the what materials would be best for the job and his pleasant demeanor. He also helped me in having 2 new skylights manufactured for the roof and the price point was great. Joseph completed the job on time. His workers were professional through out the process and I was very pleased with the finished work. I promised myself I would write this review a year from the date the job was completed. That way I would make sure that all the work Joseph did was indeed done well. And of course I forgot to write the review. Well, it is now over 7 years later and the roof has withstood Sandy, many Nor'easters and I have had zero issues with any of the wonderful work that Joseph did. It was a superior job and experience! Mr. Santillo and his son are a real gentlemen and they try very hard to do an excellent job. The roof came out beautiful. They paid attention to all details to make sure it was done professionally and would look perfect. The workers were polite, efficient and quick. They kept to their time schedule and cleaned up when they were done. All our neighbors were impressed with our new roof. The price was right also. Overall, we give this company an A+.

Joseph Ashley ACL Remodeling Inc. just finished replacing the siding on my house, which included shutters, gutters, trim and installation of new outside light fixtures. My husband and I priced around, but after meeting with the owner, Joseph Ashley, we chose his company because he was very knowledgeable and informative without the pressure. We liked how he worked with us, the quality of the samples he showed us and the pricing was right. We are totally happy with the job they did. My house looks beautiful. While the work was being done, Joseph Ashley and his son Joseph made sure we were satisfied every step of the way. The workers did the job fast but were very detailed and made sure everything was perfect. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to have work done on their house and wants a company they can depend on and trust.

Joe came out two different times to survey my roof and see what needed to be done. Ended up replacing my roof, adding a new skylight, new vent and redoing my cornice. Joe and his team were punctual, professional and, most importantly, patient with me and all my questions. They did a helluva job on my roof and would definitely recommend Joe to others.

After contacting multiple siding companies for a quote, Joseph was the first one that got back to me and was willing to come to our house for an estimate. After getting all our quotes, his came back as the most reasonable. We decided to go with him and what a great decision it was; work was completed on time, the workers were courteous and knowledgeable and when it turned out there was a bit of extra work that needed to be done, Joseph did not nickel and dime us on the add-ons. It was one additional upfront cost that was laid out right from the beginning should our worst case scenario come true. We decided to go back to him for a roofing job on our garage which has not yet commenced, but I am sure it will be a great job and stress free experience.
