The entire experience was excellent.  Joe did a complete walk through for us and documented the problems.  He gave us an estimate and then he gave us time to think it over.  Once we agreed to the work, Joe set up a schedule and kept to it.  Unfortunately we had to wait for the windows which were made to order but, as soon as they were ready, he got a crew in to do the work.

The workers were competent and neat.  The work was done quickly with very little disruption.

I highly recommend Joe.  I will definitely call him whenever I need work done.

the work went very quickly as he showed up with 5 men and two vans and pretty much finished the roof and gutter repairs in one day. unfortunately the wind knocked out the main drain and during a subsequent heavy rain the entire back room flooded. we were horrified that all the walls were ruined. we called him in desperation. On Sunday Joe rounded up all of his crew and came fixed the drain, and replaced all the sheetrock, and repainted the entire room that day. we feel that is really standing by your work!

His price was the best I found. And I had 3 different estimates, his was the best. He did great a job in a short period of time. It only took him 3 days to fix my whole roof! He definitely knows how to talk to people.

Mr. Joe Santillo was completely professional.  He was willing to sit down with us to discuss our goals, concerns and plans regarding fixing our roof and interior walls that were damaged as a result of hurricane Irene.  Joe worked with us and this allowed my husband and I to stay within budget.  My husband and I decided to address the most pressing issue- getting the roof done as we were having leakage issues.  True to his word Joe's team arrived on time and cleaned up each day (note:  He completed the job in 2 days).  The workers were just as professional as their boss.  Overall we were completely satisfied by the job.  We would definitely work with him again.  It is our pleasure to highly recommend Joe and his company ACJ Remodeling Inc!

Joe, the owner, was knowledgeable and professional, and we are very pleased with our new roof. He recommended a roofing material that seems high quality and energy efficient. He was willing to schedule the job on a Saturday, which was more convenient for us, and they completed the job in one day as promised. The job was delayed considerably due to bad weather. My only complaint is that Joe did not communicate with us about the delays initially - we assumed it was weather-related, but did not hear from him until some time had gone by.They did show up on time (early actually) the day the work was performed. The workers were courteous and took care to clean up afterwards. Overall it was a great experience working with Joe and I would hire him again.

I got estimates with other companies and they provided me with the best rate. He came and checked everything and even up in the attic. I really like him a lot. He is a very pleasant and a nice man. He is a very big people person and he makes you feel very confortable. I am hiring him for my roofing project.

Was pleased that appointment for estimate was kept punctually. Work started within 3 weeks, subject to weather, as promised. Crew of 8 workers took 4 days to remove siding and install new siding. This was important as there was a shared driveway with neighbor involved. Each evening the workspace was left clean of debris.  We were very happy with the outcome and have received many compliments from neighbors on the quality of the work. 

We would recommend that you plan in advance to purchase new light fixtures if you are doing the siding. Ours were old and fell apart during demo and it was nice to have a new fixture with the fresh new siding look. Also, there is alot of banging and vibration involved so remove valuables that may be hanging on interior walls.

Overall, it was a good experience dealing with this company. Responsiveness is important and they scored well in that respect from the beginning.

I did not spend anything for the estimate. Their response was very quick. They answered the phone and got back quickly. They were on time. They were responsive but I was not very comfortable with their presentation. Their estimate was very high when compared to the others. I would definitely consider them for an estimate in the future and I may work with them in the future. They were very nice and polite. I was not comfortable with their sales pitch . They were very professional.

Overall they did a pretty good job I had some problems that I addressed afterwards but they have not come back yet. They seem to do a pretty good job upto the final payment but after that they don't seem to help you out to much.

Joseph Ashley is the owner of this company. He was very professional.  He came inside my house and looked at the roof from the inside which nobody else who came did that. He explained in detail to a person like me who is not a roofer, so you know exactly what they are supposed to do.  He came out on time and he was very responsive.  Actually I have paid him the down payment.

I was very happy with the sideing work that was done by Joseph Ashley Company on my home.  The workers were prompt, courteous, anxious to please and very efficient.  The quality of their work was excellent and their rates were reasonable.  They also cleaned up thoroughly before leaving.  I would definitely recommend Joseph Ashely Company based on this experience.

Crew arrived on time; very punctual; pleasant and intelligent, very experienced. Negiotable, and worked well together. I will definitely be using their services again, and I highly recommend them. I felt that I was not being taken advantage of, and that I was dealing with members of my own family. After a horrible previous experience in July with another contracter who did not satisfy me at all, I am very thankful for meeting this contractor through Angies List.

I contacted and met Joe on Friday afternoon, As soon as he took a look at my house he knew what needed to be done, before he even got to the roof. At first this kind of startled me since i had quite a few companies come out and look at the roof and some gave me good solutions others said i should replace the whole roof. His solution to my problem was one that another company suggested and which made a lot of sense. the way my roof was made it was there was only 1 3" inch pipe which was used to divert the water off the roof. and common sense would dictate that when you have a whole roof full of water draining into a 3 inch hole it will not drain it fast enough.
He explained to me in detail about what he was going to do. which was to remove the back part of my flat roof so and pitch it towards the new flange gutter system. this way there is more water being removed from my roof than getting pooled up. He also explained to me the difference between shingle gutters as well as Flange gutters. that to me was really an eye opener since i never knew there was a difference. He also said that he could start the work on Saturday weather permitting if not on Monday morning.  I liked that he was willing to work with me to get this going since there was the hurricane was going to hit on Sat night.  On Sat morning he called me bright and early to let me know that he would not make it since it looked like it would rain while they were working. That kind of follow thru and constant communication made me feel at ease since i knew if he was calling me so early in the morning instead of me calling him to find out if he was coming. He assured me that his crew  would be there on Monday morning at 9am sharp. In the back of my mind I thought that he might not considering that it was going to be after the hurricane and his phone would be ringing off the hook because mf all the possible damage.
On Monday morning true to his word his crew came out at 8:50 10 minutes early they immediately went to work. they told me what was going to be done just to confirm what i had spoke to Joe about . they began ripping apart the back half of my roof and replacing the rotted wood and other parts that were damaged by the years of rain. when they almost done they told me i could take a look and see what they have done. I decided to pop my head up there and take a look I was shocked to see how nice it looked. One of his crew also told me that i should get the hats for the pipes that i have on the roof especially one that was in the back it appeared that it looked to him when they had it open that maybe one of the pipes may or may not have a crack. He said that to put one of the hats on there just so if it did it would not cause a leak. That kind of attention to detail really made me happy and he said that i could do it myself because anyone who would come out would charge me 50+ dollars just to do a 2 minute job. I really appreciated that. I also noticed that my fire escape ladder was a bit loose shakey and i asked them if they could secure it a bit more they did it without hesitation.
After they were done Joesph was over to go over the final paperwork. He told me that if there was any problems to go ahead and call him up and he would get someone over to fix it. His price i dont believe could be beat considering what other companies had quoted me for solutions that just consisted of  reflashing . Most of the solutions other companies gave me was just putting a band aid on deep wound. I have no regrets at all over my decision to Joseph Ashley.  and would highly recommend them to anyone

Contractor started on time. Worked with us to have a dumpster delivered at our convenience and to an agreed upon location.
We were satisfied with pricing and materials used. And in spite of all the rain we have been having, so far there seem to be no problems. 
The only thing I would recommend, and this goes for any work done by any contractor; you need to be aware of what is completed and what is not completed and keep after the  workers so things are not accidentally overlooked.
The person who booked this job called us to be sure that we were satisfied and we were told that if there was anything that concerned us we should not hesitate to contact him.
This was a very big job and it went very smoothly.

Everything went extremely well.  We orginally wanted to stucco the bottom half of the house.  However, Joe came out, took one look and suggested that we reside the entire house which financially would make more sense.  His suggestion was an excellent one because the house looks beautiful!!  We were told it would take about a week to complete the job and he came in right on target, even with 3 days of rain.

We are extremely pleased with the work.  Joe came out every day to inspect the progress.  His workers were very polite, worked dilligently and respected my home as if it were there own.

I rated the Company's performance an A on all levels except price.  The only reason I did not rate an A was because I did not price with any othe contractor.  Joe is very passionate about his work, so I felt strongly that he would do a great job.  I am glad I listed to my instinct because I was right!!  I HIGHLY recommend this company.

We found out that we had a large hole in our roof right before Xmas this year. The man who cleans our gutters came down and said there is a long strip of your roof missing and the job is too big for me. He did not know anyone who could.I asked friends, neighbors, teachers and bartenders if they knew anyone they could recommend, No.So we hit the internet and Angie's list. All in all I saw 12 different contractors .Joe impressed me the most. He knew what he was talking about. His price was not the most expensive, but it was on the upper end. You get what you pay for. And he throws in gutters! We picked a date,got all ready and it snowed, and snowed ,and snowed. Finally good weather ,we would start on Monday, we got all ready and the city decided to replace the water mains on our block.... no go till they were done. Through out it all Joe was in touch. He called and stopped by. The water mains took 2 weeks. Finally the day came. His crew showed up bright and early.They went right to work. They worked fast and well.At the end of each day every thing was cleaned up. I have a small pocket garden out front.I have been planting carefully picked plants there one by one.I've been working on it for the past few years and I thought I would have to replace a lot of them. Not one was killed and only a few bruised ,the workers were very careful . Joe is right to be proud of them. When the roof was off we could see that the chimney was crumbing ,Joe was right there, showed us what was wrong and gave us a very good price to fix it. When the job was almost done Joe decided that some of the flashing by our bay window needed to be replaced for the job to look right so he had his men replace it saying the job did not look good with one old piece there and his men were here already .It was very nice of him.He was right , with the new roof, gutters and flashing my new roof looks great, it makes my house look a hundred years younger! We've had our house for over 11 years and it needed some work when we got it. Major construction is never fun,but Joe took most of the pain away. This was our 3rd big one . When it is time for our 4th we will be calling him.

They came out, gave us an estimate and gave us the options. So we thought that they did a great job with that, but they haven’t done the work yet. They quoted us about $7000. The price was within our range and what we had expected. The roofer is very knowledgeable, professional and there were no questions. They were here when they said they would be here. They fully disclosed what the options were. So, we are satisfied with them. Their responsiveness was great. They called back right away. My wife is very satisfied with their professionalism. We are using their services in the future.

They did an very excellent job. He was very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond on what was agreed to on the contract without charging extra. He had 10 men here everyday and finished with 5 days. The workers cleaned up well afterwords everyday, answered any questions, and were very polite.

We could not have had a more positive experience and consider ourselves fortunate to have worked with Joseph and his outstanding crew. We contracted to do the job in January, one of the snowiest months in memory. Joseph said that the job would be completed within 10 working days, weather permitting. Total number of work days was, indeed, 10 because of the outstanding team of men who came at 8: AM and never left before 5: PM. Joseph was a pleasure to work with: professional, responsive and a perfectionist. Not only did he do everything he promised, but he included items that we did not anticipate at his own expense. I can wholeheartedly recommend ACJ for contracting work.
