The following is a list of complaints
1. The tiles in the entry way were cut too short.
2. The molding was cut incorrectly and installed sloppily.
3. The original flooring outside of the bathroom was not removed and that subfloor was not leveled. Instead, the contractor, even though I questioned what we was doing, just added Pergo flooring on top of the old wood. He told me that ?when I finish, you won?t feel the floor dipping anymore.? ?Yes you Can! (Why would I pay to have original wood covered with Pergo, if the problem wasn?t corrected.)
4. The molding in the bathroom entry was done terribly.
5. After assuring me that he could install and wire the outdoor lamp to work, and spending Two days searching for the lamps and appropriate bulbs, he tells me that he can?t do it. Instead of deducting it from the price (I would have settled for a $200 deduction in other words, substituting the fence job for the lamp installation) he claims that the lamp installation was supposed to have been a ?freebee? and did not want to deduct it.
6. He refused to give a 5% senior citizen discount from Angie?s list.
7. The back door doesn?t close properly
8. He left cement on the back porch which I can?t remove
9. He strained the white walls with thee brown grout he used and it has to be painted.
The initial job was done terribly. He is obvious not a floor person. He did do some repairs which addressed only complaint #1.
**UPDATE**A resolution was made thru the Better Business Bureau. The contractor gave a partial refund.
