Horrible!! My worst nightmare was hiring Alex. I waited 15 years to remodel my kitchen and I hired Alex from AMV he came once a month couldn't coordinate days so I could be around when he could do the Job. He slapped up my $10000 cabinets didn't paint the ceiling like I asked before he hung the cabinets . Got paint on my new floors I had installed. Paint on my furniture cabinets and left drip marks on the walls etc Alex dented, scratched and measured wrong so my refrigerator won't fit properly I am forced to buy a new fridge. The molding on top of the cabinets doesn't fit , he left sawdust and spackle dust all in my cabinets and throughout my home. Very unprofessional by not covering anything up and what I covered on my own he still managed to get paint on floored furniture etc!!! My kitchen is eat damaged and unfinished! I have to hire a real professional to fix his mistakes. Another expspense he's created. Don't believe his reviews s I did he's the guy you hear about on tv . I don't want anyone else to experience the stress and problems he's caused. That's why I'm posting this review

Over the past 30 years, we have done many major renovation projects and have never had an experience as we did with Aleks and his team. From start to finish, the attention to detail as well as thinking outside the box when a structural issue was found, left no component of the job to fall through the cracks. Communication was always open and options discussed before moving forward or deciding on a different direction. Many times throughout this project we changed our minds and Aleks and his team never wavered. The response was always no problem and no additional costs were added on the small items that other contractors like to nickle and dime you for. In fact, based on Aleks's recommendations for Kitchen Cabinets and Counter tops, we saved over $10,000 from our original source and paid these vendors directly as Aleks did not want a "Contractors Fee". Aleks, Mike, Benny and Jeremy were prompt, clean and meticulous in the jobs they all performed as well as cleaning up each day. What impressed us most, was that they did all the work themselves and did not farm out the labor to lower wage workers which is all too common these days. The pride in their work and making sure everything was to our liking was evident from the first time they walked in the door to the completion of the final punch list. We are thrilled at how the house turned out and are already working on plans for AMV to do the upstairs next year. Thank you for a job well done.

Aleks and his crew, Mike & Dan, showed up when promised. They worked diligently for 2 straight days. They were very professional and did a great job. They were very careful not to damage anything. Once completed they made sure I was happy with the job and cleaned up everything. I would hire AMV again and highly recommend them.

If you want the short story- put your mouse away, close the computer, stop the hours of research and reading reviews. Pick up your phone and call Alexs (845) 741-8607. This is the only company you will need for all of your new or old construction needs, at very reasonable rates. Keep in mind, AMV is in demand and you should schedule ASAP if going forward. Now for the long story- sit down grab a beer or cup of coffee. Meet the amazing crew: Aleks (the Magician), Mike (the Perfectionist), Benny (the Astounding Albanian) and Jerm (the Talking Bull). After calling AMV for an estimate, Aleks scheduled a next day appointment. Aleks shows up at our agreed time and this is where the best contractor experience I have ever had begins. We go over the scope of work I would like done. There is one task Aleks tells me up front, that he has never done before, and that is the knockdown texture on the ceiling. Rather than bringing in another contractor just for the ceiling, we agree to give it a try with the understanding if I do not like it, I will not be charged. Aleks points out the many mistakes I had in my design thoughts. We go over his suggestions, which I might add, were all beneficial up the line. There was no up selling, just great ideas. Two days later I receive an email with proposal, we make some changes, and agree on the price and start date. The magic transition begins on the start date agreed on. The van pulls into my driveway at 8:15 AM, just like it did every day going forward. Starting each morning with a handshake and hello, the day begins. For the most part, you can expect a full day of work each day. The exception would be if the crew has completed one task and there is no sense in starting a new task with time constraints. You will always see either Aleks or Mike with Benny or Jerm, or all 4 on any given day. The biggest take away here is that these guys do not cut corners and will do ANYTHING to make the job right, and you happy. Another worthy note to keep in mind is, along with quality work, AMV uses only top quality materials, right down to the screws and nails. I remember at one point, my wife and I were not sure of our choice of backsplash color that we had picked out. Aleks already had six square feet up on the wall. We told him we were not feeling our choice of color. His response was, “No problem, I can take it down now. I will start over with your new tile, don’t settle, you will be looking at it for a long time. You have to love it now.” If that wasn’t enough, the new tile we picked out that night at Lowes needed to be special ordered, with a two week delay. I called Aleks from Lowes, knowing he had his next job scheduled during that time period. His response was, “Get what you like and we can work it out.” I realize time is money and I caused him extra time. The only thing in his thought process was to make me happy. By the way, Aleks did his homework on the knockdown texture. He was relentless until he got it right. It looks great! I would like to touch on my comment, “plenty of extras.” Here are just two examples. The crew was constantly going up and down my basement stairs for supplies. While doing so, Aleks noticed that my stairs were shifting from the wall. He made me aware of the danger of collapsing. At some point, I go to use the stairs myself and bingo, the stairs are sturdy like new. The other example is, I had a charging cord for my cordless vac, going from my dining room outlet and wrapping around the wall and basement door jam, to the vac on the wall of the stairs. Next thing I know, I have an outlet on the wall of the stairs for direct connection to my vac. Tell me, what contractor does this without gouging you? I am convinced, you will not come across a more honest and helpful group of guys in the construction business. From what I’ve seen, they can do it all. You need to call AMV for your next job! The only thing left to say is that our dining room/kitchen looks more amazing than we ever dreamed of and the deck will last a hundred years. Thank you Guys, for an amazing job well done.

I am very pleased with the outcome. The whole crew is very professional and very easy to work with. Alex ,the owner, is very accommodating and really works with you. I live in an old house  where nothing is level so none of it is easy. He's very good at solutions. He changed walls, built tiled shower, moved toilet, etc. This included a few small other jobs. I couldn't be happier.I plan to use them again on other jobs.

I hired AMV interiors & construction to do a demolition and renovation of my 1960's bathroom. Alex and his crew worked
hard and efficient, demonstrating a wide range of skills and knowledge. they were friendly and courteous and are a 
 great bunch of guys. They gave me a showroom quality bathroom and it was a pleasure to make their acquaintance.
  

Aleks and his crew were great about everything!  My husband and I were stuck with a gutted/non-usable master bath for some time after a previous contractor had done some poor work and then abandoned the project when he fell ill.  Most contractors were hesitant to take on the project after someone else had started it (including Aleks), but he did it and did a fabulous job!!  This was for our weekend home, so we were rarely there while the guys were working, but they were punctual each day, cleaned up before our arrival each weekend, and exceeded our expectations in the time it took to complete the project once they started!!  The craftsmanship is also top notch and Aleks was incredibly open in communications (we generally texted) before, during, and after the project!

We were highly impressed with AMV Interiors and Construction Inc. and have already hired their services again to conclude some additional move-out touchup/repairs to our home in November/December.

Aleks's quick response and professionalism to our quote/inquiries surpassed all expectations.  The AMV crew went above and beyond what was expected in regards to the original work that was to be performed.  The new shower looks AWESOME!!

AMV crew, Mike & Benny, arrived on time and got to work.  We had problems with our old floor and they had to remove everything including the durorock.  It took 3 days to complete the work due to the mastic taking longer than expected to dry.  Throughout the process our house was protected from undue dirt and dust, tarps were laid and doors kept closed to reduce dust.  The finished job is better than we expected, very professional.  I've had other tile jobs done for me including a downstairs bathroom and our kitchen.  They don't compare to what Mike and Benny did.  Our new bathroom floor looks great.

From the beginning, before the actual work had even begun, we were pleased with the fact that Aleks would always answer calls and respond to emails promptly.  We mostly communicated via email, as we sought to avoid calling him on his cell while he was on another job, though the few times we did call him (when we needed immediate information), he responded in a friendly and helpful manner.  We purchased all the materials (shower doors, guest bath sink and faucet, kitchen faucet, wall and floor tiles for master bath and floor tiles for guest bath, wall paint, plumbing materials and fixtures).  Aleks obtained for us the countertop that we wanted.  The entire job lasted nine working days.  He and his staff (Ben and Mike) arrived early every day.  They asked us frequently where we wanted things placed (such as the shower seat, inset for shampoos and such, and plumbing fixtures) so that everything was exactly how and where we wanted it. Their work was exceedingly neat and their attention to detail was extraordinary. We couldn't be more pleased with the final result in both bathrooms.  They cleaned up every day and when the work was finished, their final cleanup left the place spotless.  They did exactly what they said they would do, and more.  We would not hesitate to use them on a future project.  They would be the first contractor we would call.

Aleks was extremely responsive and helpful and clearly outlined the scope of our work to be done, also mentioning alternatives to a partial remodel vs a complete job. Although we decided not to do a remodel at this time of year, we will definitely contact Aleks for future jobs.

I love Angie's,  I love AMV, and I really, really love my new bathroom!!!  Aleks and his team show up!!!--they work hard!!!--they know what they are doing!!!!, and they do quality work!!!!  I can't say enough nice things about these guys--renovations can be painful--but if you are going to do it, these are your guys--they are professional and really seem to enjoy their work, and it shows in the finished product.  Aleks keeps you informed without making you panic,  he can generally solve any issues that come up.  He ALWAYS answered his phone or got right back to me.   I totally trusted him with the project, and with my house (as I left whenever I got the chance).  I plan on having them come back for more work--it seems my new bathroom is so gorgeous it totally shames the rest of the house! lol     

Aleks started on day agreed to and completed 90 percent of original job, and did some extra work outside of original scope. He did the work professionally and was excellent at sugesting solutions to unusual problems. In addition he told us about errors done by another contractor, so that contracts returned to make the necessary fixes. Only downside was toward the end of the process (more than two weeks of consistent work) a few small elements were not completed. Also, one minor point of plumbing was not as good as the rest of his work, which was excellent standards. We waited months to make our review to make sure there were no hidden problems. But it's gone well.

My wife and I regretted the day we would have to update and replace our tub and toilet and gut out the bathroom since its our only bathroom and the estimated time could be anywhere from 5 to 7 days. So we ordered a port a pot and it wasnt that bad as Alecks crew consisting of his brother Mike, Ben and Billy did their work professionally and courteously each and every day. Were there bumps in the road you bet but Aleck and his crew addressed each one till we we're comfortable with the results. We already asked them to come back and help install the vanity and accessories when they arrive because its to be installed on tile and they have all the know how.
We were totally satisfied with their work and professionalism in our bathroom remodeling.

Alecx  and the boys were outstanding, I am extremely happy I chose them. They were very polite and always on time.

I loved that he explained what he was going to do before doing it just incase I didn't like it, he wanted to know if I would be happy with it first. They would start the work as soon as they came is and only took a short lunch break and after they come back they would work all the way to the end of their day.

Alecx helped me with a lot of ideas for where to find inexpensive but quality things for the house and what I needed and how much it will be, which was a great help to me. These men were honest,  polite and they are trust worthy, they made me feel very comfortable and felt I did not have to watch over them and I  have left them alone at the house and not worry about it. I am hiring them again to remodel my bathroom this month.

What I'm really trying to say is that you will be very happy with this company. THEIR WORK IS BEAUTIFULLY DONE

From beginning to end a totally wonderful experience.  My husband and I are 100% satisfied with the quality of the work and craftsmanship.  My husband said he had never seen mitered corners so tight and cut perfectly. 

Aleks, Mike, Benny & Billy always showed up early and on time.  They were courteous and very friendly.  Aleks, the owner

answered our emails, before the job started, usually the same day.  Our dog, Lea, loved Mike, Aleks' brother.  Now to the JOB.

We purchased our home in 2008.  The builder put a Jacuzzi tub in the master bath, but put a plastic enclosure for the shower. (no tile)  We put up with it, for a few years, but decided to upgrade our master bath.  We checked Angie's List and called a few of the contractors. AMV was at the top of the list.  Aleks called us back right away.  We got a few other estimates, but AMV was the best one we received.  Needless to say, they got the job.

Our master bath looks like a spa.  It is beautiful!  The renovation went great, no complaints.

We asked Aleks if he would install a new faucet in our kitchen.  He agreed and did not charge us for the installation.

My husband and I would OVERWHELMING recommend AMV Interiors and Construction Inc. to anyone looking for

a contractor.  They are the Best!

After a couple of false starts due to an existing job taking longer than he thought AMV Interiors started on our master bathroom.  Aleks and his guys are extremely professional and walked my wife and I through the whole bathroom renovation process.  He goes over design aspects and trends (brick tile or stack, mosaic tile inserts, etc) as he's doing the job giving you different options throughout the process.  This was extremely important to us as this was our first major reno.  The only hiccup was that the job took a few days longer than planned.  I really can't hold that against them because the weather was awful (several significant snow storms).  The final outcome was a beautiful bathroom that my wife and I love.  i highly recommend AMV Interiors.

The crew did an excellent job, very professional, very flexible.  I am happy with the results and will definitely use this company in the future.

Everything went very well. Alex and his crew, Bennie and Tom, were there everyday on time. They were very professional and always ready to do anything you asked them. When you hire AMV your renovation is their main priority. They do not go to another job when your work is in progress. We had a few little glitches which were our own fault. Like the deck door was a standard door and our space was not standard. It was a little short but not to worry, Alex built a molding to go around it. Also we had bought a stain for it but when applied it looked terrible. But again no worries, Alex took it down and sanded it and then painted it white and it looks beautiful. The refrigerator we purchased was a little bigger than the original plan but again Alex came through and trimmed and got that fridge in it's compartment. We love everything! AMV is a contractor that is fair and honest and we are so glad we found them on Angie's List. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor.

They did a great job and I am hiring them again in the future. They were punctual and professional. They helped me with design aspects and always returned my calls. They did a great job with the tile work and they went above and beyond to fit the needs of my kitchen.
