From the exterior, Speonk Lumber (SL) looks like a small-time operation in a small rural community. I thought: 'I doubt they have the necessary expertise to be helpful.' How wrong I was! The SL counter representative suggested I speak with John Glass. He provided brochures, samples and expertise and we quickly determined that my decking was from the Azek Harvest Collection. The price of the decking was comparable to other online offers. But that is only half of the story. John provided the names of several reputable contractors--one of whom did the work for me. He also determined that purchasing the decking in 16' lengths was most economical. He then arranged for SL to cut the decking to fit the size of my deck. When the scheduled date for the repair work fell through, John offered to store my material for several additional weeks and deliver the decking to my home. All of these services were provided without charge. Throughout this extended process. I was impressed by the quality of service provided, his knowledge of decking materials, and his friendliness and courtesy. My experience with John Glass and Speonk Lumber was about as good as it gets.
