Sunny Days Painting
About us
SUNNY DAYS PAINTING was created in 1997 by Brian Beachner. Brian started out painting in the early nineties as a “weekend warrior” helping a childhood friend with his own painting business. What was supposed to be a way to make a little extra money turned out to be much more. He realized he was good enough to start his own business, one that emphasized customer service. Sunny Days has been growing since the beginning with a client list that includes well known doctors, lawyers, THE Mayor, Deputy Mayor, city councilman, county legislators, business owners, fellow contractors, and many, many homeowners all over NY state. Our crew of employees represent over 70 years experience in painting and home improvement and are all dedicated to their craft as artisans. We have been recognized as a preferred contractor by the LANDMARK SOCIETY and have worked closely with several neighborhood associations. Most Recently Brian made the tough decision to leave the business due to health and family reasons. After Careful consideration Ray Colon, a long time painter with Sunny Days decided to keep the legacy and reputation for quality work and customer service alive at Sunny Days. Ray has assumed all the day to day activities and is the proud owner of Sunny Days Painting! Brian will consult with Ray during the transition.

"Hi, it was our pleasure! Looking forward to working together again. Thank you for your business."
Excellent.
Received estimate in Spring (april?) - was uncertain he'd be able to fit us in before winter but there was a nice patch of weather in November and his crew was able to strip and paint house before the cold weather set in. Asked for an extra coat of paint at the last minute and they were very accommodating. It looks fantastic and has bonded in a way that makes us feel secure that this paint job will last. Thank you Sunny Days!
"Thank you! It was our pleasure and we look forward to working on the other side as well!"
From the day I first contacted Brian, to the day he wrapped up work, I found Brian and his team to be not only talented, but responsive, accommodating, professional and friendly. Brian helped me plan my project by brainstorming colors, looking at photos and talking me through what the process would be. We worked out a schedule he kept to, and he made sure I was satisfied with results each step of the way.
He and his team showed up when expected, did the work as planned, and at the end of each day my house was left clean and organized. Because of their thorough attention to detail, the whole project was barely an intrusion on our daily life.
I found Brian extremely flexible, easily adding on projects I hadn't originally planned for (like the addition of crown molding). I had no idea what a one-stop shop Sunny Days actually is. They are able to provide a comprehensive array of services well beyond residential painting. It will be the first company we will contact in the future for any remodeling or home repair needs.
As I keep repeating, and quot;I got exactly what I asked for and exactly what I wanted!and quot; I absolutely love the look of my kitchen and believe I got excellent value from my investment in this work. I would highly recommend Sunny Days Painting and Remodeling.
"Thank you so much for such a great review. It was our pleasure. You have great taste, your choices made the work so enjoyable for sure. You have a great family too, so glad we got to meet and trade stories."
After a few weeks, the newly shingled parts stood out from the rest of the house. Perhaps it was the light
Also, the window trim was changed from green to white. Some of the green bled through.
I started to email the Brian on April 10th. After numerous emails and phone calls, he finally looked at the house
in the middle of August, agreed it didn't look right (we both figured it needed another coat of paint). In addition, some of the paint showed signs of weathering (which shouldn't happen in less than a year). He said give him a few weeks.
Its becoming a joke. My emails now go unanswered, I sent emails about middle and endof september that went unanswered.
I began making weekly calls and its always an excuse and "We'll get to it next week".
I probably am going to have to hire someone else next year to finish the job.
Update: 7/2015 -- more weathering shows up -- I've been in the house 25 years and the previous paint job lasted over 10 -- I'll be lucky to get 5 out of this paint job.
"I make no excuse, we have been slow to get back and take care of these two warranty issues. All I can do is promise that we will. We have never left anyone hanging on warranty issues before and don't intend to now. We are a small company and because of that, it can sometimes be challenging to free someone up. Weather has been a huge factor this exterior season, more than any other in memory."
We've all had horror stories ... but Brian Beachner made this about the best contractor experience I have ever had. I am thoroughly satisfied, would use again, and would recommend to anyone willing to listen. On-time, on schedule and on-budgert ... that's the bottom line. Friendly crew ... kept me informed of progress when the boss was between jobs ... cleaned up and everything neat when they left for the day. Price quoted was the price paid, except for one additional task that was well-communicated and negotiated beforehand ... and, as it turned out, it was something that made a dramatic difference to the street view of the house. Thanks a million.,
"Thank you, We enjoyed bringing the house back to life and your welcome for the advice on the front stairs, it really looks beautiful."
"It has been a pleasure working for you and getting to know your family. Good luck on your move!"
"It was a pleasure working with you then and on your new home as well."
"Thank you Member, you have a beautiful home and it was a pleasure putting the finishing touches on it for you! ~Brian"
"Thank you I look forward to working with you again."
"Thank you, it was a pleasure meeting you and your husband! Thank you for the great feedback, especially not even knowing that you were an Angies List member! Enjoy the rest of the good weather, if you have any issues what so ever feel free to contact me. Brian Beachner."
"Hi, This is Brian Beachner. Just wanted to drop a note in response to this feedback. Member, if you would like to give me a call anytime I would be happy to rectify any issues you had with our work. In 2008 we were not aware of any issues as we always stand behind what we do. In fact, in 2009 we began giving a written 5 year warranty with all our work and I would be happy to retroactively give you the same."
"Thank you."
