Rochester Heating & Cooling

Couldn't be happier!! Came over same day when my A/C died in the middle of this hot summer. Looked at everything, and was able to provide a quote right away - 6 days later new AC and Furnace (they were both 30 years old). Great install job, looks and cools great! He even took care of the RG&E paperwork.

Always very friendly and professional. Mike found a leak in furnace gas line and fixed it for free.

I needed a new central ac system installed in the house i just bought.  It also had a 25 year old furnace in it so I replaced that with a new high efficiency furnace as well.  i have used Mike for many jobs in the past and always have been pleased with his work.  He gave me a significant discount based on my years as a good customer. There were several parts of the job that required extra labor - the former owner had installed the hot water tank in front of the furnace so that had to be removed.  They also had the main electric box in a far out of the way corner of the house so that required extra work to run the line.   Mike's installer arrived and took care of all the details - stayed 12 hours until the job was done, with no extra charge.  He kept to the quoted price.  He's not the cheapest in town but he used high quality Goodman Furnaces and AC's.  I am very pleased with the job and would recommend Roch Heating and Cooling to anyone. 

Showed up on time and new furnace was installed in no time. Showed us how to program, tips & tricks, etc.

I am very displeased/concerned over the quality and integrity of Rochester Heating and Cooling--the company did not follow through with their expressed commitments, they left my home in an unsafe/dangerous condition, they remained unresponsive to my multiple verbalized concerns, they did not perform their work in a workmanlike fashion, and the high-level heating equipment has to virtually be re-installed by a competent contractor in order to not only provide me with hot water but heat for the coming winter; and, prices are high compared to other contractors. Details: 1) Rochester Gas &Electric Company (my gas and electric provider) mandates that it be contacted by the installer prior to beginning of work and that the work be compatible with service to the home and that work be inspected by an authorized independent agency--none of this was done in spite of the fact that I was told it would be when Rochester Heating and Cooling's proposal was discussed prior to my signing;2) new electrical service was not grounded (as per code) and panel box was left open with live wires protruding over the weekend with no signage---leaving us with a potentially very hazardous situations; 3) boiler/hot water heater was not installed correctly with several code violations and missing or non-compatible parts;4) in spite of Rochester Heating and Cooling's advertised "24 hour emergency service," when I called (the day after I paid for the work) because we had no hot water, we had to wait over 24 hours for hot water to be restored--if it had been winter we would have been without heat;5) throughout the progression of the work I verbalized to the owner of Rochester Heating and Cooling my concerns about the quality of the work and the integrity of the installer--I was told this installer was the best one the company had; 6) the installer worked mostly at night, after he completed jobs for his own heating and cooling company (Napora Heating and Cooling);7) several times I requested that the owner of Rochester Heating and Cooling come to the house during installation to meet with me and he never came nor offered an explanation why.

Needed a furnace inspection to sell my house.  Mike was very responsive and efficient as always.  He also installed my Furnace and Central Air in 2008 and 2010.   Nice to deal with the owner as opposed to a random service tech from one of the big companies. Am buying a new house and will definitely use him for a new furnace and AC there.
