I didnt. Even know that they had come that day. I was at work and it wasnt until I walked into the back yard and saw the trees gone that I realized they had been there. There wasn't a leaf or a twig out of place anywhere.

Everything went ok. I would recommend him to others.

The removal of the tree and the stump was completed timely and in a professional manner. The problem was the lack of sufficient sheets of plywood to prevent ruts in the lawn. A lawn service came three days later to fill the ruts and put down grass seed. That job was just satisfactory. We had to add more top soil and seed to most of the area.

Everything went fine except that they cut the sump pump hose which was under the roots of the tree they removed. We didn't realize that this could happen and we did not see this as their fault.

We were not at home when they did the work, but when we did return the work was done, the yard was clear and everything was just as they had promised. We would definitely use them again! It is difficult to get a hold of them, as they are always on the job. You most likely will have to speak to the answering agency who will take your message and have them return the call. Earlier on we tried to email our request and never got an answer.

Project went very well and quicker than I expected. Estimate was done promptly, thousands cheaper than the next lowest estimate. They called to confirm the date, then called the day before to ask if they could start 1 hour later to do an small emergency job. They arrived within the scheduled time. Worked hard all day long, did not even break for lunch. Since it was a large job they had a 7 person crew. They were respectful of me, my property, and my neighbor's property who has a meticulous lawn. When they finished everything was clean up well - with hand raking. Even though they smoked, not a single butt is on the property. The large trucks that were on my lawn left some compression marks but much less than I expected. The started at 9 working straight through till after 5 and all I need to do is put top soil down, add grass seed and water and I'm ready to go. Other companies told me this would be a 2 day job and would cost much more. Michael's was great! I'll use them again I'm sure.

These are the greatest guys! They were prompt, courteous, hard working, professional guys that did an outstanding job of cutting down one huge tree that was encroaching on my neighbors' yard and house and trimmed another. It was a major job and it was a very hot day! They worked so hard and left the yard in perfect condition when they left. Then on top of that they came back today 6/4/13 to cut down a branch that was hanging precariously after a storm. They didn't even charge me. Bless their hearts!! I will definitely be calling them again!

My yard is fenced. I was told it would need to come down to get at the tree, no surprise. They also said they could cut it for me, then I'd have to call and have the fence company re-hook it. The crew arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected to try and beat the predicted rain. When I mentioned cuting the fence their combined response was "you want us to cut your fence!". They unscrewed the end and rolled it back out of the way! THANK YOU gentlemen. They put down double layers of plywood on my driveway to protect it, as well as my neighbors lawn, to keep the falling limbs from damaging his property. They got to work immediately, everyone doing their respective jobs, move the wood, chipping, etc. 3 hours later they were done, stump grinding and all. The fence was reinstalled, no need for follow-up with another company! Removed all the debris from my driveway. Awesome guys, polite, considerate, and very friendly. If I need my other trees taken care of Michael's Tree Service will be my first choice. Thanks for a job well done!

I'm amazed at how prompt the response was. I had had two trees removed from my property last summer by another company. They had given me an estimate at that time to remove this spruce, which was actually a couple hundred dollars cheaper than what I paid here; but they tended to be unresponsive. When I called them for an updated quote on the tree last month, I was told they would get the new estimate to me. Almost three weeks later, after hearing nothing, I decided to go on Angie's List to find another recommendation. Michael's Tree Service got back to me the following day with a quote and two days after that, the tree was down! This was a very tricky operation, because the tree was wedged in a small area between my deck and a hedgerow separating my property from my neighbor's. When I spoke to the estimator, he had said that they would have to access my neighbor's driveway and yard to remove the tree and assured me that they would leave everything unscathed. My neighbor was very concerned about having ruts in his lawn, etc., but when Michael's crew showed up, Dan (their guy in charge) assured me that they could do it without going into my neighbor's yard at all. He said that they could dig up a lilac bush on my own property and remove everything through there, replacing the bush when they were done. Everything went very smoothly. No damage to my deck, which was only 3 feet away, no damage to the hedgerow, and no damage to my lilac. The stump was ground until there was no trace of wood at all left, unlike the other company who only went just below the lawn surface ( which I found out when I tried to plant on that site shortly afterward). Dan assured me that I would be able to plant something else this spring where the spruce had been, with no problem. Afterward, the crew cleaned off the neighbor's driveway where they had pulled up their trucks. They were efficient, friendly, and fast. They had even showed up 20 minutes early for the job, giving me a courtesy call ahead of time to tell me they were on their way. I am not only very pleased with their prompt response, but also with their professionalism. They were worth spending the extra money for. No regrets!

They were very good. They had to bring in a large amount of equipment, but they were contentious of my yard. They were in the ballpark of pricing and they were timely in their work.

Called company to get an estimate to have a large shrub removed. Was told by the person who called me back to do the job myself. That I could save money that way. Um, duh? I needed someone else to do the work as I've had back surgery. I had the work done by another business and was satisfied.

called for an estimate on 9/24/12 and received a quote later that same day.worked was scheduled approximately 2 weeks after my call back to do the job. results were excellent -exactly what I wanted

I got four est. and picked the one I thought would do a great job for the best price.

It went very well. The price was less than what I thought it was going to be. They were very prompt and very clean. We wouldn’t have known they did anything when they left. The price was reasonable, and they were professional. We have been very lucky.

We were impressed with their service. They did all that we asked plus a little more for the agreed upon price. We would definately use them again.

They charged me $150 for removal of the dead tree and a large amount of debris, and $495 for the remaining work. They were happy to put through their chipper a large quality of honeysuckle that I had previously cut down which was part of the debris. Michael seemed very knowledgeable. They were very reasonable compared to the other quotes that I got. They cleaned up very well after themselves. They also honored the 10% discount coupon from the Angie’s List book so the total that I paid was $580.50.

I haven’t used him in a while; I call him whenever I have a tree that needs to be taken down or for pruning and that type of things. I had them do different things so I am not sure about the prices. They were very good.

I would recommend them. They did a good job.

I purchased a home that had a back fence line that had been neglected for decades. A team from Michaels came out and cut down saplings, branches inteferring with power lines and a whole bunch of grape vine. I also had several stumps ground down. They did all this work and left my yard and the yard next door neat. The only negative part of the experience is I would have liked a phone call letting me know the approximate time of their arrival. I knew they were coming sometime on Tuesday, but a call giving me a time frame would have been most helpful.

Lousy response, did not give estimates as promised , no call backs . Stay away from this company!!

They did a good job. They came on time. They were a little expensive, but they were able to do the job in my timeframe. They did a pretty good job with clean-up. There was a beehive in one of the trees, and they disposed of it appropriately. They didn't leave anything behind.

They did a fantastic job. The price was right. They came and left, and you couldn't even tell they had been there, except that the tree was gone. They cleaned up excellently. They did a very good job. I would recommend them to anybody. The estimate was exactly what I paid. This was the first time I have used them.
