Since this door opener was a chain, and very noisy, I asked about a belt, quiet door opener. He installed it the next day. Very nice guys and convinced me I did not need to spend more money on quieter rollers. I would recommend Above and Beyond Garage Doors to everyone. Thanks guys!

Said it was fixed it broke within 24 hrs of being repaired. Called every day for a month to get them to come back again. Finally 5 weeks later they said they came back and fixed it. Worked for 4 days. They are the WORST. I gave up trying to get my $175 back. No receipt and no warranty. I found a freelance contractor who installed a new garage door opener with a torsion system. It works perfectly!!!

Fixed everything and garage continues to work well.

This work was done at my father's house. He is a 92 year old senior citizen, One day after the repair the door failed again. My father called and was told that someone would be over on the evening of Thursday 7/17. No one showed up. He called and was told that Dennis would be over at 8 am on Saturday 7/20. At 92 years old he got up early to be ready for the appointment. Again, nobody showed up. He called and received only voice mail. He left a message and never received a return call. . I called Saturday afternoon and got Dennis. He said that it was a miscommunication, that my father misunderstood him and that the appointment was for Monday morning. He promised me that a technician would be there. Again, nobody showed up or called.
I plan to call the Better Business Bureau. This is how Above and Beyond of Port Jefferson treats their customers, let alone a 92 year old senior citizen.

They solved our issue. He knew right away what was wrong with it. He had all the parts there with him. It took him about 20 minutes to fix it. The only problem was that they say they have 24 hour service and we called them at night and someone didn't get back to us until the morning.

Excellent experience. We didn't want anything too ornate...just simple white doors and new openers/mechanisms that were quiet and had sensors to lift if anyone was passing through while they were lowering. Price was very good (a lot better than another company we priced out), and service was very quick, professional and well done. Would highly recommend them.

We were happy with Above And Beyond's original installation of our garage door in 2008. When our son's truck accidentally rolled through that door, I called Above And Beyond. A replacement door was needed immediately, since the original door could not be closed. Dennis came to our house the same day, and texted me photos of the replacement doors in stock. We quickly reached an agreement on price, and the new door was installed perfectly the next day. The new door is even better than the old. This is our second very good experience with Above And Beyond.

I told them the door wouldn't open and when repaired, I wanted a quote on a new door and opener.

They advertise same day service but couldn't make and apt for 2 days. Then they called to re schedule because they had to take care of a corporate client. The apt was for 10 AM. the mechanic called at 8 to tell me he would be there at 9. I said I was occupied until 10 but he showed up at 9: 30 anyway. They run their business for their convenience, not to accommodate the customer.

They did a very good job, showing up when they were supposed to and completing the work in a timely manner. I was given quality materials and product and feel like he really knows what he's doing. I would recommend him to others in need of these services. The one downside is he is a little difficult to understand on the phone, but the quote he gave was exactly what I paid and I was satisfied.

his price was competitive. He installed a door that should have taken no more than 3-4 hours to install, they were there for 9 hours.It First of all the wrong size was ordered. It does not fit. Also the installation was done improperely. Because the installation was done incorrectly, they couldn;t even intall the weather stripping.
I have called Dennis repeatedly and he does not rerturn my calls.

and lubricate, and he refused though agreed on the phone.

They were easy to work with, price competitive and they did an excellent job, would recommend them to anyone.

Good job done, with no mess left.

The guy from the company was good. Above and Beyond Garage door did not have the garage door we wanted and somebody else had it because it was R17. Although Above and Beyond did not have that door we liked them the best as far as how he came and presented himself and serviced it, so we asked him if he could get that door. He said that he could, he researched it and got back to us right away with the door and put it in right away. We had an issue with it, because of the configuration of my garage and he came right back and fixed it. We had another issue with it a year ago and he came right back and fixed it. Regarding the price he wasn't the cheapest nor was he the most expensive, he was average. I would use this company if I need another garage door.

We called "above and beyond" to repair a damaged garage door panel. By the time it was all done, they replaced the panel AND both garage door openers. They never finished the electrical wiring, and told us instead to buy an extension cord. The panel was a terrible color match, which they assured us would improve after a few seasons on the sun. Its been a year and it hasnt changed much but i'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on that one. The main issue, is that now one of our garage door openers will stop responding to its remote every other day or so. The wall button still works, but it requires getting out of the car and doing it, which we never had to do with our Old openers, which never have us any problems. We tried several times to get them to come out to address the issue, but they were very dismissive and unresponsive. I am glad, however, that they took the time to slap their sticker on our wall before they left, so I can remember which company to tell people not to use.

Prompt, professional and courteous. They demonstrated the operation of the opened, explained the features, cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the garbage. Honest and reliable. Very happy with the service provided and the finished (installed) product.

I called and spoke to the owner. He was able to get me in the same day. He had the parts on the truck. Repaired my door, took old parts with him, and went ion his way. My door works great!
