Jim's A1 Home Remodeling

They installed it the first time as a weather sealed two-pane skylight.  Jim had no contingency for finishing the edges around the skylight, so he used grout and ramped it from the edge of the glass to our tile patio.  I told him it was going to crack. He said it would not. the next day it was cracked, i asked him to come up with a better solution. He did not. I found some aluminum saddle trim.  I purchased it, and he installed it-poorly. He was also asked to trim the bottom of the skylight where it meets a sheetrock wall in the skylight well. His guys cut the trim too short, and even mitered one of the pieces backwards, but left it anyway and just caulked it. Unbelievable! A month later the bottom piece of glass (which was supposed to be tempered and thicker on spec.) cracked.  I called and asked him to replace it. He said he would have to bring the whole thing back to the glass factory and remake it.  I asked him to use acrylic instead of glass.  We scheduled the date for him to come, he removed the skylight and disassembled and re-assembled it himself on site.  I complained about it not having a proper seal.  He said it would be fine.  It wasn't. It leaked and caused major ceiling damage and filled with condensation after a couple weeks.  I called again and he was unresponsive.  This guy and the workers he used should not be allowed in anyones home.
