He Took a 50% deposit and has not shown up to do the Work. He does not return phone calls and the address listed in the phone book does not exist.

Paid 50% down only removed slab but never returned to grade, rock and re-pour or complete the job. Called and sent letters. No response. Broke an irrigation line and left a sand pit. Added costs to repair sloppy unfinished job. Do Not Recommend. Questionable business tactics. Shame on you!

Keep looking. There are much better contractors out there than this one. David (Duke) Seiler is not a professional at what he does. His work was sub-standard, he cannot communicate well, and in the end, he walked off the job because it was too difficult for him and his crew to accomplish. He never properly read or understood the plans for the house and so there were disagreements about what the plans called for. He was also obsessed with doing the excavation work when I had already contracted that with someone else. I mistakenly gave him a large downpayment (50%) and then made further payments after completion of 25% of the work. He then left me high and dry with 50% of the work undone. I've since found another contractor who has been much better to work with and not nearly as hot-headed and inexperience. The work that he did do was poor. The footings were sloppy and inaccurate with one of my walls just barely on it. The foundation walls (ICF) were not put up with square corners in a couple of places and the top of the wall was not square and not level. My builder said it was the second worst one he'd seen. His punctuality was terrible. It took him almost 2 months to do a footing, a wall and some inside piers. He left me without a garage and no basement slab poured. And there was no reason for it. There was nothing in the job that a competent professional couldn't do. He kept on taking other work and leaving my job to languish. If you've read this far then you've been sufficiently warned. He is a very busy contractor dosent return phone calls promply but does outstanding work. If you are patient he will do a superb job.
