Recently purchased home. I wanted carpets steam vac'd because previous owners had cats. Worker showed up after cleaning a full day at one place. Had the vacuum in the van and hooked up to my water supply and used the steam vac to clean the carpets. In total it took about 2-2.5 hours to vacuum in all the rooms. Then he went back using a stiff bristle broom to raise the pile in order to aid in drying the carpet. All fine. The next day I was cleaning the walls and was close to the carpeting and it still smelled dank and like cats.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to do it, but I had a Bissel 2 in 1 machine that does a heated cleaning of the carpet and started in the dining room area where I first smelled the carpet, after the cleaning, and followed the Bissel's directions for cleaning. My little machine pulled up shag, dirt, and smell from the carpet just using the cleaning solution provided in the box and a larger bottle of the same solution. I continued in each room of the house with carpeting, with the same result.
Again, I let the carpet stand overnight to dry and left the shag on the floor that the machine wasn't able to pick up, because there was so much of it, to dry as well. The next day, I cleaned the sink where the shag, cat hair, a couple fingernails, and dirt accumulated to bag and throw out in the trash. I was unable to close my fist around the amount of spoils the Bissel picked up.
I then proceeded to use a regular 12 Amp Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner to clean the remainder of the house and get all the shag bunnies and whatever else might lay in the carpeting. I emptied 2 full canisters from the Dirt Devil, and the carpet felt soft and fluffy with no smell after all this.
While I did not ask for a deodorizing cleaning. The amount of dirt and refuse that the Bissel churned up was shocking. Especially after a professional cleaning. I do not know if this is typical, but I am completely dissatisfied with services I received and will be contacting the company to inform them of the issue and see what their response will be.

They are a family buiness and the guy who cleaned the carpet was here on time, courteous, professional and all business. He did a wonderful job and the price was reasonable. Great company with wonderful people,

They did a great job. I dealt with them in the store and the same guy has cleaned my rugs and my carpet. I would recommend them to others. It is very difficult to get big area rugs cleaned and they did a great job. Other companies recommended them to me.

It is one where I had to take the carpet to them. They were very good. The good thing about them was when I took it there; they did an excellent job and talked to me about it nicely before hand. If I paid them before hand and when I bring them in they give me a sizeable discount, but I can't remember if it was a 20% discount for paying them in advance. I have used them on a couple of occasions and I have been real pleased. I would give them an A right through, but understanding that they don't come to the house and that I have to go to them. Maybe they could provide transportation, but I was able to take my carpets in. They charge according to the size of the carpet.

Overall it was a nice experience buying from a local family business.
I will do business with them again and would highly recommend Kellogg's Carpet for all your flooring needs.
