Our house, which borders wooded areas on two sides, hadn't been painted in over 8 years. When we installed sorely needed, energy-efficient new windows in the summer, and cleared out a lot of overgrown trees preventing sunlight to reach the house, it was obviously time for an exterior painting, and makeover as well. Geovanny Leon came highly recommended to us by one of my wife's co-workers. His estimate, for the amount of work needed, was more than fair. In discussing the prospective job with him, I was instilled with a rare trust and confidence you just don't sense with every contractor. You could tell right off that this wasn't going to be a just-slap-it-on and let's-get-out-of-here experience. One of our other contractors had expressed a concern that the cedar shakes on the southern side of the house, which were almost completely shorn of any paint, might be weather-beaten beyond saving. Geovanny assured us that they were in fact, still good, saving us thousands in additional expense. He also patiently worked around the carpenter's somewhat erratic schedule. He was also very patient as we deliberated over one color selection after the other, even to the point where we had changed our minds on a particular stain, after part of the deck had already been started! Anyway, the house was successfully transformed from a tired, old, ugly, 1970's-era duckling to a very attractive neo-classical addition to the neighborhood, largely through the efforts of Geovanny Leon and his crew. He'll be back soon for some interior work as well.
