There were three Lolly columns in the basement that were improperly installed. They are supposed to be spot welding and we’re not. These “temporary columns” were supporting the middle of the house. A few years later, while having wood floors installed we had to have those columns replaced with a wall but by then the floor above had sunk a little over an inch so that across a 4 foot wide hallway the floor slopes to one side! We had to have a contractor jack up the middle of the house and build a wall. Brian lied and said the basement was filled with “too much “stuff” during the inspection to see that the columns were not welded to stop the screw top from turning! He was very quick to take pictures when I let him in the house but not willing to defray any of the repair costs.

The inspector was very good. He spent about 3 hours looking around the house. He was able to come up with some thoughts and advice. It worked out very well. He gave me a good report. He seemed to cover the house very well. I guess the price was the going rate but I know it was more than I needed to pay. I would recommend them to others.

The house was so messed up I decided not to buy it based on his report. The house needed $100,000 worth of work. I was so pleased with the service because there would be no way that I would have noticed anything that nature just by walking threw on my own. I am very satisfied with them.
