 + -1 moreSpeaking with IAL went extremely poorly. Their customer service was unorganized and didn't listen to what we actually needed and the ower or manager (a senior person named Vinnie) who got on the phone was rude and actually hung up saying "I can't do that if you're not going to sign a 5 year contract...and that this was going no where". That call came after they had made an appointment to send a technician to our house, but hadn't shown up. After staying home for the day and waiting for an hour and half after they were supposed to arrive (I assumed maybe they were just running late) I called to see when they might actually arrive. That was when Vinnie asked me for the third or forth time what service I might need and indicated that they not only weren't coming as expected (as I had wasted my time for) but that they wouldn't perform the service because I wasn't interested in signing a 5 year contract. Just an informational note: we've had monitored security systems before and NO ONE has ever asked for a FIVE year agreement. There are many other security companies to use - DON'T USE THIS ONE!
Description of Work: IAL Security was the last Security Company to support the security system in a house we recently purchased. The son that sold us the house for his elderly mother was not able to provide the codes for the system. We purchased the home to live in for a year while we rebuild our home due to significant damage from Hurricane Sandy. As it turns out, IAL is THE ONLY security company that can work on our system because they changed the core code for the main board on the system. But, because we aren't willing to sign a 5 year monitoring contract (because we will sell and move back to house once completed) IAL isn't willing to provide us basic service to get the system running and working. And they diffidently won't give us the code to let anyone else do it.
