Next Level Energy

Angi connected me with Next Level Energy, who took a $2,140 deposit for a solar project, and never completed the work. The owner promised a refund if the job couldn't be done. When it became clear he wasn t going to finish in part due to problems out of his control I asked for the refund. We negotiated a $1500 refund to compensate him for the work he was able to complete. Then, silence and evasions for weeks. When I threatened to go to small claims court, he got nasty, accusing me of harassment. He has not returned the money. I ve filed a credit card dispute and will go to small claims court if necessary.

Excellent job. Gene coordinated with my roofer. I was impressed with the technical knowledge and efficiency not to mention appeal on the mesh placed to protect from animals. My roofer told me he was impressed after working with other tech companies. Big endorsement there!

I am giving Next Level Energy a negative review and a poor rating of 1. I wish I could give them a 0. Jean Duran of Next Level Energy LLC was contracted in February 2024 to repair my solar panel system at my home. Mr. Duran examined the problem and suggested that he replace the inverter box and re-establish my connection with Con Edison. For this service, Mr. Duran collected $3400 from me and issued an 8-year warranty. To date, July 16, 2025, my solar system is still not working, and I have been deprived of all solar credits from Con Edison. After multiple attempts over many months, I have urged Mr. Duran to complete the job that he was hired for. Mr. Duran has ignored my phone calls and text messages since October 2024. I want this review to stand as a warning to all potential Next Level Energy customers that Jean Duran and company do not fulfill their work agreements.

my experiance with gene on this project was very satisfying. i was ready to ditch the panels because i coulgnt get any satisfaction from other solar contractors. gene answered all my questions and takes pride in what he does. he did this project as if it was his own house. thx again gene

They had to travel a long distance to do the job. Must be groups closer that could do it. Always cheerful. They took off and replaced solar panels on my roof.

They are so professional, on time and very well versed in the knowledge of what they we're doing.

The only complaint I have is that I was told “everything” would be removed from the roof but when it was time to pay I noticed metal mounting plates were still on the roof. The explanation was that the shingle would come off if they tried removing them so they leave them to lessen the chance of roof leaks. I now have a viable roof with 100 shiny rectangular metal plates which looks ridiculous.

Just had my solar panels removed and then reinstalled to accommodate replacing my roof shingles. Next Level gave a competitive price and outstanding customer service. They met all of their commitments, were flexible on scheduling and professionally completed the job. Gene has a great team that worked well together and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend their service.

I highly recommend. Specially Jean the owner is so professional and helping all way. My project was so complicated,still they finished on time.even after finishing the project they willing to reschedule the final walkthrough multiple times to accommodate our schedule.

I can’t say enough how helpful and honest Jean was. My solar was not working for a long time and he was able to correct the situation from three previous solar company that was no longer in business.
