The only complaint I have is that I was told “everything” would be removed from the roof but when it was time to pay I noticed metal mounting plates were still on the roof. The explanation was that the shingle would come off if they tried removing them so they leave them to lessen the chance of roof leaks. I now have a viable roof with 100 shiny rectangular metal plates which looks ridiculous.

"Hi Sandy, I'm sorry that we could not do more for you, but there was no way for us to remove the metal flashings that were bonded on top of the shingles with the adhesive that was used when the system was originally installed on the roof. We removed everything but the metal flashings. If we had removed the metal flashings, it would have ripped every single shingle that is attached to the metal flashings, leaving areas on the roof with no shingles, which would then cause leaks. We did not install the system; it was removed by us. Normally, when these flashings are attached to the roof and the entire solar system is removed, it is permanent."
