About us

There are 3 Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologists in this practice. We provide a full range of evaluation and treatment of normal and high risk pregnancy, as well as well woman gynecologic care. The physicians offer a wide spectrum of treatment options for gynecologic disorders, and advanced gynecologic laparoscopy is a particular strength. Our common interest in minimally invasive surgery stems from our training at one of the most highly regarded medical centers in the United States, where implementation of cutting edge technology and offering the finest care for woman was paramount. Each patient encounter and surgical experience echoes this commitment to contemporary and comprehensive care. We are fortunate to have excellent working relationships with our area hospitals and physicians, insuring the highest quality care available. The physicians work closely with Midwives and Advanced Practice Nurses who specialize in care for woman, and we all strive to challenge each other to maintain a contemporary knowledge base and treatment approach. The care we offer is second to none.

For years it was OK. My first doctor was Dr. Peterson. I quit going to her because she kept insisting that I take estrogen, which I was not going to do. Then I began going to another doctor, and somewhere along the line was switched to Dr. Parks. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Dr. Parks medical services. On June 1 I had an appointment with Dr. Parks for my regular exam and to discuss a problem. The day before the office called me to say that because I am currently uninsured that they "couldn't" see me. I told her that I was planning to pay at the time of the service but it didn't matter. I tried to explain the circumstances that led to me being temporarily uninsured but she didn't care. I asked why they would do this to me and she didn't know. Wow! This office thinks it's OK for me to go without needed medical services because I am temporarily uninsured! Obviously I will never go back. Now I have to start all over with another doctor, and can't get an appointment right away. I hope for my sake that the problem I wanted to discuss is not serious.

After my doctor left this office, I was afraid that I would have to leave as well, but that was not the case. I now see one of the PAs and she is just as great. Both women answer any questions and do not make you feel rushed. Sometimes appointments run late, so just plan ahead.

One other thing I must mention is I had a very hard time finding a provider here in NY, because the company my husband works for has and out-of-state insurance company that is specific to IN. This was the only provider that when I called (and believe me I called many) that didn't have a problem excepting and out-of-state insurance company. I told them what our coverage was and gave them the number to verify...they were fine with the information.
