Done Right Roofing & Chimney Inc

I signed a contract with Done Right Roofing on July 20, 2020, for the performance roofing and siding work to my home on Lucille Drive, in Sayville. Pursuant to the contract Done Right agreed to install roofing and siding at my home. In accordance with the Contract, Done Right charged me $16,500.00 for the siding work performed which I promptly paid to Done Right Roofing. The siding which was installed by Done Right Roofing at my property was improperly and negligently installed in breach of the contract and in violation of New York General Business Law. Among other things, Done Right improperly failed to install or advise me at any time of the need to install any sheathing between the existing shingle siding and the new siding installed. The failure to do so represents negligent, improper, and UN-workmanlike construction practice. Almost immediately following Done Right's installation of the new siding at my home, pieces of siding began to pull away from the home and fixtures began falling off, See some pictures and video evidence). I complained to Done Right numerous times and each time Done Right responded and simply had the sub-contractor come back and "staple" the siding back on the old shingles beneath the siding knowing that same would not adequately hold the new siding. I have numerous photos and videos evidencing the foregoing. On September 16, I requested an owner come to see the poor installation done. After the owner, (Kismet) himself pulling the siding and seeing it was coming right off and poorly installed, he agreed to "fix it" but never said how. On that same day I sent an email on our verbal agreement. However, Done Right Roofing never replied to my email and or told me how they were going to fix it. It was not until after they received my attorney letter, that they decided to acknowledge my email. Accordingly, considering the foregoing and after QC Building & Remodeling pulling a piece of siding to investigate what was behind it and how poorly installed this had been done, further evidence of the poor work performed was found. There was no way I could have this company come back and touch anything in my home. I thereafter engaged the services of QC Building and Remodeling to remedy the problem of the improperly installed siding for which Done Right charged me $16, 500.00. QC Building performed the necessary work. The removal of the siding improperly installed by Done Right; the installation of sheathing, as appropriate and required to provide a backing surface for the siding; and the re-installation of the siding by QC Building has been documented extensively with photo and video evidence. The total cost of these repairs was $8, 300.00 which has been paid in full to QC Building by me. I retained legal counsel and a demand letter was sent to Done Right requesting they fully reimburse me the amount of $8,300.00. I have not received reimbursement. This represents the exact cost of the necessary repairs undertaken to correct the negligent and improper work performed by Done Right Roofing in installing the siding at my home. I have filed a complaint with the Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs, as you know, among other things, Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs regulates the licensing and conduct of all home improvement contractors operating within the County of Suffolk.

Siding negligently installed. Video and photo evidence was documented. Filed a complaint with Suffolk county consumer affairs. Hired another company to fix their poor work discovered. Demand letter sent to this company. In breach of the contract and in violation of New York business law. Failed to advise me at any time of the need to install any sheathing. See pictures and videos. The technicians came out, reviewed the work, and said they would not charge me for the extra.  While they were here, I contracted to have some additional work done, thus the $650 noted.

During my four year relationship with Done Right, they have performed a variety of jobs on my home ranging from cleaning gutters, repairing siding, fixing holes in my roof to replacing the roof entirely.  They always clean up before leaving. 

They are professional, punctual, reliable, and very friendly to boot! 

How it works is like this:  Call the office, they send out technicians to give an estimate.  They give a three hour time frame and call when the technicians are on the way.  If you agree to having the work done, a date is set.  I've never had to wait longer than three days and that was for the roof.  Otherwise the work is done the next day, at least in my experience.

Overall, a wonderful company to work with!  I will end the way I started, this company has more than earned my loyalty.

They were very prompt with coming to do the work after the estimate was given. They were professional, and did an amazing job on our new roof. We had a leaking roof, and skylights, and gutters were missing from parts of the house. They finished the job in 2 days, and left the property as clean as how they found it. We would definitely use them in the future for any other work we need done.

Went well, price is was good. Install was a little sloppy around drip edge, and some of the epdm lifted up a few weeks after the install. 
They came back and re-rolled the epdm areas which seems to have solved the problem. 
I would use them again, but inspect all work prior to final payment next time.

terrible. Although the two men were polite and well behaved they tried to charge an outrageous amount for the waterproofing which I bargained down somewhat. Then their equipment broke and I ended up supplying both the waterproofer and and the sprayer in order to finish the job. When I suggested we renegotiate the price as a result they refused. I would highly recommend staying away from them. Their whole approach was that of trying to overcharge as much as they could get away with.

It went very well! They did the job immediately and even guaranteed it. I am very pleased with the job! Everyone else that I got estimates from said that they would only do it if I had an entire new roof put on, which was costing close to 4000.00. Done Right did a small job and they did it very well!

Called Done Right (Nassau County) and asked for an estimate. Two days later they showed up and told me the fix would be easy and only $30.00. They reattached the vinyl siding, and reinforced the piece with small nails. Another company wanted to charge me $275, just to come out and see. Done Right has free estimates.

They were very good. They came and gave a fair estimate. They did the work. The payment went smoothly. I was not happy with the fact that they would only guarantee their work if you use their service to clean the gutters every year; otherwise, there's no guarantee. I was disheartened to hear that. They did a wonderful job and we were happy with it. I thought their price was very good.

I called several companies and got different estimates.  I guess their customer service was average because I wanted the company that did the roofing on the house next to me but they gave me all different kinds of prices.  So far I'm not having any problems with the roof.  I don't think I need to use them again because they gave me guarantee.  They said they'll come if a problem comes up.

I got a reminder voice mail to be home from 3-6pm to clean my gutters and to call and confirm which I did. Around 4:30pm someone calls and asks if I want to keep the appointment since they didn't hear from me. What? I told her I did call back and she asked whom I spoke with but I didn't know. So ok, they'd be along. At at 5 I get a call saying that someone is coming to do the job in 1/2 hour. And the truck arrived. I got a quote of $125 to blow out the gutters which I thought was a little high and $200 to pick everything up. Didn't know the difference but I took the $125. There was quite a mess on my patio and steps front and back and I crossed my fingers that the $125 job would also include blowing the mess. It did and I was pleasantly surprised and relieved. I paid with a check.The job wasn't perfect and I had to sweep up some more after they left but all in all I was satisfied.

He gave me an estimate for the repair, and they fixed the back of my roof for a relatively inexpensive price.

Sandy damaged my roof and I needed it fixed. I didn't feel comfortable with the first estimate I received from another company, so co-worker who had used Done Right told me to call them and get a quote. Kismet, the owner came to do the quote on a Saturday, they were very busy and initally gave me an appointment for the following Thursday and I knew they were busy because of the storm, but my co-worker said call back and ask for Kismet. I was able to get a weekend appt! He came, was very polite, climbed on the roof, assessed the damage and provided a quote for a complete tear off and gutter replacement. Price was initially higher but after the 25% and a little more negotiating we settled on $8,500.
He said he was very busy due to the storm but promised to have it done before Christmas. My only complaint is right before Christmas they were behind due to rain, they called and asked to reschedule until after the new year. I told them I had family coming for the holidays and needed it done as promised. They stuck to their promise and came on a Saturday which we requested a weekend appt.
They perfomed the work as promise and got everything done by nightfall (They arrived around 8:45). We had a few issues with insurance but Kismet and his people worked with the insurance until everything was perfect.
My roof looks beautiful and they did an awesome job.

The problem was not so much in the actual roof they installed—they did some damage to my gutters and to my sunroom roof; they also scratched my new Anderson window by carelessly sliding the old roof on to the ground. They didn't bother to put the gutter guards back correctly, so most of them flew off in a subsequent storm. They also left a mess of nails and tar paper in the gutters and on the ground behind the bushes. As for the sunroom roof—they used that to drop the the bundles of roofing material, which caused the seamed to separate. I had to go up and repair that myself. While I was up there, I realized that one of the workers must have dropped a heavy sharp tool, because there was an actual hole gouged out in the roof. What a mess. It took me a day to fix this. And I'm still finding nails on the ground.They also left the dumpster in my driveway for three days and actually came over to dump debris from another job in itI would never hire this company again. By the way, the owner knew very well that he had caused all this damage. He never apologized or offered any help to fix it. Do NOT used this company.

Okay, but came late. They missed the apt. 3 days earlier. They claimed they ran late. They were very sloppy doing the job and blowing the debris off the roof and the neighbor's property.

The company was supposed to be there in the morning, but they called to say they would come in the afternoon. Finally, it got so late in the day, we cancelled. But the following appointment, we were promised first appointment of the day, which we got.

Their initial price was high, but said if we did the work the same day, the would get 25% discount( which I knew already from their website). Then, when we hesitated, offered another $100 off if we did the work. That brought it to the same price as a previous estimate.

They did the work the same day.. They were fast, polite and cleaned up afterwards. My only complaint is the re-scheduling of the 1st appointment we had, after we waited most of the day for them to come.

lousy work ...never would I allow them around my house again
