LAMB'S CONSTRUCTION, INC

This was a large basement project, 950 sf.  The "team leader" (the man who supervised the crew and the overall job) who met with us prior to our signing the contract described their work as "craftsmanlike", and indeed, the quality of their work was very high.   They generally cleaned up after themselves each day.  The amount of damage to walls, existing paint, etc, was minimal.   The only problem we had with their work was with lack of access to the electrical service panel.  Although they installed a removeable access panel, the molding subsequently installed at right angles to the upper edge of the panel prevents that panel from being removed.  When we need to get in there, we will have to remove the molding.  It is notable that our contract with Lamb provided them a generous length of time to complete the job (a figure we obtained from them, and I told them to be generous about it).  In the event that the job was not finished in that time, the cost to me would be reduced by a set figure each day.   They did indeed exceed the allotted time by a couple of days.  I don't know if the lack of thoughtfulness about the panel installation was due to financial pressure, but it was inconsistent with the rest of their work.  The price was higher than other quotes, but the service was commensurate with the price, with the only exception noted above.
