The installation of the lawn sprinklers was done promptly. An additional zone was added for $100. Top soil and seed was spread leaving some areas not covered and seeded. I asked him to cover the bare areas but it was not done. Some unwanted shrubs were removed for and additional $100. I was charged $ 700 for planting of new shrubs and plants in the front and back yard. I was told when I said it sounded like a lot of money for a small area " don't worry I'll make it nice". NIce was initially five small shrubs, three in the front and two in the back yard with no grading, weeding or mulch. Just a hole dug and the plants placed in the hole. When I complained that that was not enough plant coverage he came back and planted five more little shrubs. Still no landscaping around the plants just holes dug. I called him and told him that I thought that what he did was not worth $700 dollars. After my complaint he stopped answering my calls. Since then three of the plants died. I left messages that he should at least replace the plants that died but still no reply. His initial price was very reasonable but everything else had an additional charge in total about $500 dollars. The attention to detail was poor. Initially he put in a defective shut off valve for the sprinkler and I had to mount the timer permanently to the basement wall as it kept falling off the screw he put in. I also had to seal around the hole he drilled for the pipe. The sprinklers were never adjusted properly and spray all over the driveway. Some areas in the yard do not get watered. I will install additional sprinklers my self. I did not like that he stopped answering my calls. I would not use Bobs Landscaping and Tree service again.
