We have been waiting for a call back for over 2 weeks. We had a 4k job to ground our above round pool a month ago. We need the inspection certificate to pass the village inspection. It failed after the first try so the company sent someone else to fix the issue in order to be complaint with our village. We waited from 12p-9p for someone to show up. We received a call late that night that they couldn't come and would come the following day. The electrician finally came 7 days ago. He "fixed the issue". He stated we would receive the inspection shortly. The inspection company just "needed a picture" of the change to approve it. My husband has called Universe several times. Left several messages for the DOO with no response. He just got off the phone with a "Chris S" who says he is a project coordinator. He argued with my husband stating, "we are at the mercy of the inspection company". Universe chose this inspection company! We paid for it! Our village inspector is coming tomorrow (appointment made three weeks ago thinking this would be resolved) and we still have no electrical inspection. My husband had surgery Monday and is supposed to be healing. I NEVER write bad reviews..i try to resolve first but I have nowhere else to go. All I need is the inspection certificate! My next step will be to stop payment. UGH..what is so difficult here?

Wanted to complain about Universe Home Services, Inc. as they tried to charge him more than quoted when they did not even finished the job due to they did not had the correct tool so they scratch the faucet as they did not had a srap wrench and tried to do it with incorrect tool and took him 2 hours for him to know he was not able to do it. The gut who arrived was courteous but the company was bad so I had to hire someone outside of Angi who did the work in 5 minutes.

Mike & Sean were very helpful and answered all my questions. I found them very professional and did a great job cleaning up. I would recommend them highly to anyone who needs a new gas boiler and water heater. I intend to have extensive electrical work done on my house and I will call Universe to do the work..

Ductless A/C Service
I want to thank Universe for doing an excellent job install my new Ductless Mini split AC. Will and his team arrived on time and ready to work. His team worked quickly and cleanly. Each step of the job they kept us informed of what they were doing and asked us were we wanted the units placed and how we wanted the lines run outside the home. They did an amazing job. We are very happy with the job.

Nice staff overall, great repairman (Mike), he diagnosed the refrigerator repair needed (clearing the drain line in a leaky freezer) & completed the repair quickly. He showed us how to avoid the need for the repair in the future.

Buyer beware!!! They charge you $249 service fee to show up after 5pm and when they arrive they tell you the tech support for your manufacturer is not available until business hours the next business day. They return the next business day to tell you the part needed is not in stock and it will take a few days to arrive. Who has 2-3 days to wait at 30-35 degrees with no heat or hot water???? I went to a local plumbing supply company and brought the required part sealed in a box from the manufacturer, but Universe refused to install. I advised I would take responsibility for the part, they still refused to install leaving me with no heat... (maybe because there is no markup available when customer supplies the part?....I offered to pay a markup just to get heat in the house, they still refused). They claimed the job would cost $1,500. The required part was $75.

A furnace is a big investment and I did my homework. I had 5 bids, from the flashy national chains to small companies. The big boys are insanely overpriced; they act like they are selling you a Lamborghini. With the small guys, I worry about the 24/7 service. Universe hit the sweet spot. Their rep John is a seasoned professional with no BS. He clearly explained my options, the process, service plan, etc. I went with Universe and scheduled the installation. Brian and his two guys showed up on time and explained the day. They were extremely courteous, professional and clean. They installed all new thermostats, checked every radiator and gave me a brief laymans overview of the new unit. I highly recommend Universe. They do the work as promised. No surprises. No drama.

They were one of the better quotes we received, and they were able to get us a new boiler installed within a couple of days of signing the contract. They did a good job getting everything installed, and then when there was an issue with the transformer/relay, they sent someone back immediately to get it fixed. I would recommend them.

Tim was great. He really took the time to look at our heating system, give us all viable options, broke down the cost for each option, and was so personable. Worked diligently for four hours replacing our humidifier, and cleaned up so well, it was like he wasn t even there. Professional, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I won t ever call another heating/ac company.
