.I recently dropped off our Altima at Massapequa Nissan for a 15K service. A few days after picking up the car I was reviewing the bill and noted a charge I questioned. While the dealer does perform the service as specified, they are some what deceptive in what is included in the package price. In particular, a line item of the service is a mandatory joining of a and quot;cluband quot; called Nitrofill for an included charge of $25.00 which is only disclosed on the final invoice.
What is Nitro Fill? It is a service that fills your tires with Nitrogen instead of ordinary air. In addition it gives you and quot;complimentaryand quot; roadside services but does not disclose if you actually qualify for them until you register the card number on line. The advertising material of Nitro extolls the benefits of their service in the use of nitrogen in NASCAR, the space shuttle, the USAF stealth bomber and bicycle tires used in the Le Monde.
My Nissan Altima will surely now be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
My position here is if you want me to buy it, tell me about it, don't sneak it into the legitimate services of a 15K check up. The practice is deceptive and really is padding the charge they state for the service. For the sake of $25.00 they collected, I will not have my car serviced there again, nor will I lease another vehicle from them. As new car dealerships go, they had been to this point very straight forward and helpful in resolving minor issues.
I requested the charge be removed and was told it could not be because it was part of the package even though it is broken out as a line item.
Yeah, it's only $25.00, but do it a thousand times............you get the picture. This dealership is partn of a huge multi- car selling group, so the loss of my patronage is of no consequence. My local independent service station though will get my routine service work and will be less inclined to scam me,i hope.

Stop light switch was replaced and resolved the starting issue with my push button ignition. Car runs great with quality Nissan part.
