He came in spent 10 minutes telling me that it would be better to buy new instead of fixing it, and then charged me $161 and left! I'm pissed!

The project began because the water pressure in our tub/shower was very low. I had taken the shower faucet handle off at this point. Robert came he had me turn off the main water to the house and said that all of the plumbing had to be replaced. He stated that we could either take out the fiberglass shower or make a hole in the wall behind the shower, which is in another room. We opted for the repair to be done through the wall behind the shower. Robert left us without water overnight on Wednesday and did not turn our water back on until approximately 8:00 PM on Thursday evening. Robert had said that hopefully he would only have to cut a small hole in the wall behind the shower but ended up cutting a 16inch X 70 inch hole in the wall. He left several times to go to different stores to get parts and supplies, claiming at times that the parts were faulty. He also claimed that he had purchased Delta parts, at my request. The plate that went over the faucet handle did say Delta but the other parts did not end up being Delta(per the Plumber that I had to hire to complete the job). I foolishly paid Robert at this point. On Friday when Robert left the pipe holding the shower head was still leaking and soaking the spackle that he cobbed around the pipe. The pipe was still moving freely. I could also see around the faucet into the room behind the shower. I expressed concern about this and he said he would check with the parts store over the weekend. He asked me to take pictures and send them to him which I did. He also forced the shower handle on, claiming it was faulty. It was also on backwards. The spout in the tub where the water comes out was also very loose. Robert texted on Sunday to say that he would come on Monday to fix the leaking pipe and put the handle on correctly. I replied to him stating all of the other issues that needed addressing. When Robert arrived on Monday morning he stated that he wanted to see what parts he needed and that he was going to the parts store and would return. I told Robert that I had thrown water towards the handle and that it did indeed leak through to the back of the shower in the other room. He got quite irritated with me and said "why did you do that?" and when I said that I did it to see if it was leaking through he said "you knew it leaked, you told me it did on Friday." I said no. I was concerned that it did but was not certain. He proceeded to call me a liar. When he returned from the parts store I went in to the bathroom with him and asked him if we could review what he was going to be fixing. He said irritated "what do you want me to fix?" I proceeded to show him again all of the things that needed fixing. He got increasingly irritated and said that he had a lot of time and money into this job and that he could show me the receipts and that it wasn't his fault that parts were faulty. He asked me if I would like to get someone else to do the job and I said no that I would like him to do the job PROPERLY that I had paid him for. He said he was not going to argue with me and he walked out. I had to hire a real plumber to fix all of the mistakes this man made. The new plumber had to replace all of the parts that Robert installed(improperly) other than the "door" covering the hole in the wall. I paid Robert $175 to come and give an estimate(which I later read on Angi's list that he gives free estimates) on the first day. I paid him $80 for a cartridge that he ended up claiming was faulty. I then paid him $850 as a deposit to start the job. On the Friday that I was to pay him the remainder he said he was going to take $200 off the price because it was taking so long and because there were so many problems. On that Friday I paid him $600.

Rob did a great job! Was on time, and treated me well and understood my budget. He rebuilt my chimney from roof up while staying under budget!
