Woodchucks Flooring

As my house approached 50 years of age, the knotty pine living room floor was looking much older. After checking around online, in-person and maybe a do-it-myself, a friend told me of Woodchuckâ  s Flooring in Schenectady - about 40 miles from Summit, NY. Motivated, I measured the floor at about 425 sq. ft. plus a 50 sq. ft. kitchen parquet floor. I called for an estimate and he came out a few days (nights) later. Chuck sized up the room and told me he would sand, some by hand in the tight spots and put down three coats (of something). The above would take three days but a fourth would be needed for the coating to set as well as the odors to dissipate. Checking my calendar, I decided that I needed a four-day mid-week vacation, signed the contract, moved the furniture off the floor, covered the counters and went to Maine (in March of â  23). On day 5, I finally returned to an absolutely beautiful living room and kitchen floor. Really!! Check out the before and after pictures. Iâ  m extremely satisfied!!

Chuck was prompt in responding to my inquiry and met with us the same day. We arrang d to have the floors done while out of town and he even sent us photos of the finished work. Will definitely have him back to do other rooms!

Chuck stopped by and gave us a quote quickly. He worked with us to get our floors done within the time we wanted. We liked that Chuck was the one to do the work (along with someone he has been working with for many years). They worked long days to minimize the amount of time we would have to be out of the house. They checked with us after the sanding was done to make sure we still wanted to go with the natural wood since there were some dark spots under the previous stains. They cleaned up well and we are very happy with our floors!

Chuck was awesome to work with and did great work fixing up our old hardwood floors. He was timely and responsive and showed up when he said that he would. Chuck was able to buff out a difficult transition between our living room and foyer and blended everything perfectly. We are very happy with the work Chuck did in our home and plan to have him back in the future to refinish more of our hardwood floors.

Chuck transformed our wood floors. They look brand new. My little nieces, nephews and grand dogs played hard on them shortly after they were done. Not a scratch......a true testimony to the great craftsmanship......
