Wow, James went right to work on the clock, it took him two weeks and got it back in working order. "Thank you James." We are now hearing those wonderful sounds that makes our home feel wonderful".

James replaced the mechanical works in my Howard Miller clock. Gave me the option of changing it to battery operated. I decided on mechanical to keep it as original as possible. It was not cheap, but, worth every cent because James fully explained everything and used German works. I am extremely pleased.

James was very prompt and was able to fix the clock here at the house. So our tick is now back in tune with the tock and if any of the other clocks in the house have to be fixed we definitely will call them.

It was great. He helped me on the spot and only charged me for the battery - nothing for his service. Although he only performed a relatively simple service in this case, I had confidence in his expertise and would definitely go there again.

This is a old clock, over a hundred years old. He arrived on time and did a good job. He was professional, and did a nice job of moving the clock, no damage. He also leveled up the clock and it keeps perfect time.

It was a little thing, but when I brought the clock in, he laid out this nice red absorbent thing to put on the table to put the clock on. They were delicate with it and very understanding. The price was very reasonable.

We have a number of ticking, winding, ancient clocks. We have been married for almost four years, and for different occasions throughout our marriage, we have given each other clocks. Grandmother clocks, grandfather clocks, ship's clocks and wall clocks. One of the clocks broke down, and we took it to two different people who could not repair the clock and even damaged it further. Then we took it to The Clock Works. They are as good for clocks as Penna is for windows. They have old European clock makers and clock repairers. They can fix anything, no matter what it is, and how many weeks it takes them to get it perfect. A clock which was not working was brought to them for repair. It had been taken to several places, and it still didn't work. It turned out that it was Thomas Jefferson's clock which had hung in his house, and in the library of the University of Virginia. It had stopped working, and nobody could fix it. They had taken the clock all over the country to different places, to try and get it working, because it was Thomas Jefferson's clock which he himself had signed. It had been a hundred years taking it to different places and trying to get it fixed, and The Clock Works fixed it. They are very good. The clock that we took to them was a complicated clock to repair too, but it now works just like it was right off the showroom floor. It is a hundred years old, triple chime clock, and it's a beautiful thing. They are wonderful, compared to the two other local clock people we had been to. Going into their store is like going into a different world, it is full of various levels of ancient ticking clocks, chiming clocks, cuckoo clocks, and grandfather clocks. I feel it's like going into a magical place. The people who work there love what they do. They breathe precision, they breathe fine instruments, and they are a dying breed. It's like I'm going into a little German clock shop from 1785 or something. They really care about the quality of their clocks, and the clocks just mean a lot to them. They know that there aren't many people who do what they do anymore. I wish them loads and loads of business, they are getting older, and they won't be there forever. But while they are there, I wish everybody would use them.

The clock looked the best it had in 30 years, and the new mechanism works far better and quieter than the old one ever did.
