SERVICE PLUMBING

Ed and his son Greg were amazing. They arranged all the details with the town no stone unturned so they could begin work immediately and in fact 2 days earlier then estimated. Ed is a master plumber with years for experience and it showed. He and his son made quick work of the replacement, cleaned up yard and swept sidewalks etc.,The town inspected same day and all work was done to code. Ed and Greg followed up the next day to seal the hole in the basement-looked better than when they found it. I am so happy and relieved-Service Plumbing is honest and personable.

Plumbers arrived and did a walk through, discussing possible causes. Did not check drains or do any work. Told us it would probably be a big project to remove kitchen ceiling or tile bath floor. Spent about 20 minutes looking at issues and charged $140 with no resolution or attempt to find source of problem. Would not use again.

First he tried using a commercial wet vac and then he used snake/hook and VOILA.......out came the brush head. I was worried it was lodged farther down and he' and have to remove the toilet. Then he scraped the small hole that collects deposit. He also noticed the toilet didn't flush well and fixed that as well!!! It needed a specific part that wasn't in the bowl. It's an older toilet too, and I didn't know if replacing it would fix the flushing. But Ed did and now we don't have to hold down the handle and count to five! I would highly recommend Ed. He clearly has excellent plumbing knowledge and skill and made a huge effort to make sure no more serious work needed to be done.

Ed suggested before laying a new line that he could open a hole around the pipe from the inside to see if (as he had experienced before) the copper pipe had just corroded where in contact with the cement block. That turned out to be the case resulting in a $360 repair instead of a $7000 line replacement as had been quoted by others.
