Pantalone Construction removed my old front walk and installed a new one in a very professional and timely manner. Mario and his son are true craftsmen and did a beautiful job. I have been in the tile and stone business for almost 40 years (now retired) and would highly recommend them.

We hired Pantalone Construction [Mario Pantalone] to rebuild our sidewalks which were badly broken by tree roots. The job involved a number of challenges including finding a way to save a large tree that was responsible for a good bit of the damage to one of the walks. From the initial estimate on, it was clear that Pantalone was highly professional company. Workmanship was of the highest order with the attention to detail you'd expect from a first-rate contractor. A good contractor also needs to be a problem solver- Mario saved our tree and overcame other difficulties involved in our project. He even took pains to save the hosta plants that lined our walk, carefully digging them up with his back hoe so we could replant them later. Work was done in a timely and efficient manner. Two long walks were rebuilt in a week- they are beautiful. Mario has been doing quality work in Schenectady for over thirty years. It was amazing to note the number of people walking down the street who stopped to chat with him while he worked. It was obvious how respected and well liked he is. I have no doubt his reputation is well-deserved and well-earned, built on years of doing excellent work. Besides sidewalks, Mario handles a number of other construction and remodeling jobs, especially in the winter as his focus moves indoors. I don't doubt he brings the same level of craftsmanship to this work. In short, rebuilding our walks was a difficult job that involved a great deal of hard work- both physical labor and engineering know-how. We needed our front steps replaced. We contacted Mario at Pantalone Construction and he came the next day to see what we needed done. He discussed with us what should be done. We had also talked with two other contractors. Mario impressed us with his knowledge and how he would do the job. He listened to what we were saying. He was very careful with plants near the steps, careful with our lawn and did a great job cleaning up after. The two other workers along with Mario were pleasant, professional and good workers. I would highly recommend Mario and Pantalone Construction. We are very happy with our new steps!!

My concrete porch and stairs needed replacement. Mario came and evaluated the job. Discussed the process and possible complications. He gave me a fair estimate of the job. He and his crew arrived at the time he indicated. The job was done in a timely manner and exactly as he predicted. He and his crew of Shane and Dillon did the job and cleaned up after. I was very impressed with the fact that Mario is old school. All the concrete work was hand finished.They were very careful and meticulous. I would definitely have them do my next project.

From the beginning Mario struck me as a guy who takes pride in his work and knows what he's doing. This was very evident throughout the job. Mario was on site every day and conducted the work himself with a few other workers including his son on occasion. He was also very professional, insisting on having a building permit and stamped drawings. Considering the type of work being done he kept the job very clean and orderly. He finished in the time he quoted, working on a couple of Saturdays too, and did not adjust his quoted price at the end. He even went above and beyond fixing a few little things here and there that weren't part of the main plan.

Mario Pantalone came in, and gave us a good evaluation of the problem and the solution. When he came to fix the problem, he and his assistant showed up on time, and was very courteous and professional. The work was done exactly as he said he would do it, was done quickly, and the clean-up was amazing, with nothing out of place when he left. After having several suggestions by other businesses, some offering solutions without ever looking at the problem, Pantalone took our concerns seriously, and didn’t try to sell us more than what we needed. His pricing was extremely fair, reasonable and below the estimate. We were extremely impressed with Mario Pantalone and the service provided and we will certainly use him again.

Mario was the person we talked to and he was the one who either did the work or was here to supervise the work being done by specialists. He had a network of suppliers he referred us to and they gave us great deals on all of our applications, cabinets and hardware. The work he did was done under budget, on schedule and everyone was very neat and clean. We got exactly what we wanted and more. He had great suggestions to problems we had and we could not be happier.

Mario Pantalone provided us with a written estimate for the scope of work requested along with an insurance certificate with appropriate coverages. Once approved Mr. Pantalone acquired the necessary demolition permit from the local municipality and began work the following day.
Beginning at 7:00 AM, the work itself took less than 8 hours to complete from the inital swipe with the backhoe to the final sweep of the broom. (I actually couldn't find one nail in the driveway after his crew left the site.)
There were no unforeseen issues or change orders during the course of the work. As a matter of fact, since I helped load the truck with the demo'd garage, we were actually invoiced less than the original quote provided by the contractor.
All in all, it was a very good project, completed in a timely, neat and professional manner.
I would highly recommend Pantalone Construction to any homeowner considering using a General Contractor in the Capital District area of NY.

It was an emergency so they didn't wait, they rushed and came right over. They were excellent and I continue to use them.

The service was promptly and efficiently performed. Mr. Pantalone didn't even flinch when we asked for a last minute change in the configuration of the proposed walkway. He does superb work, takes great pride in it, pays attention to detail, and has a great smile.
