We moved into our place that had a terrible dryer vent setup that always made clothes take longer to dry than it should. Ordered up a vent cleaning service deal from AL and based on high reviews thought I'd give Harold and his crew a shot. Of course Harold tells us that the existing setup wasn't to code and the vent cleaning cannot be done due to liability concerns. I personally thought I should still have the option. So given safety is a concern for my family I ask for an estimate. The original number seemed a little high but I knew we would get quality work based on previous reviews here so said yes. Then during the job the number went up several more times. By the time the job was over the job cost around $100 more than originally estimated. I'd consider my job of medium complexity. So still giving an 'a' review given super great high quality work that solved a long standing problem with my home but just watch those estimates if you are someone on a tight budget.

I tried to use some of the parts that you had already in order to save you some money but as you know one of your existing elbows that I was going to use was broken at the seam and the outside vent flapper didn't close all the way and these needed to be replaced. Harold was friendly, polite, on time and professional throughout the job.
Our previous dryer vent setup was lengthy (maybe 30 feet in total) with a couple of 90 degree bends in it.
Harold gave us what I thought was a fair estimate for installing a new dryer vent that was much straighter and shorter than our privious one.
This was not an easy install in that we have a stone exterior home that required drilling through mortar and then 5 inches of stone to install the new vent system.
Our new dryer vent system works much better than the previous one we had. Clothes dry noticeably faster than before and this new system, being much shorter and straighter, will be much easier to keep clean.
I highly recommend My Dryer Vent Guy. He really knows his stuff and did a great job for us at a very fair price.

Harold came over and took a look at the dryer vent. Since my dryer tube a had a very short journey to the outside vent, it was cheaper to just replace the foil and clean the outside of the vent. He was very pleasant and easy to work with. It cost me less than expected, which was also a plus.

Harold arrived right on time. He assessed the situation and was he ever right. The vent had a great deal of lint and pet hair
that Howard removed. He then professionally cleaned the vent. He replaced the outside vent and the connection from the dryer to the vent. He explained why my dryer wasn't working correctly and gave me tips to prevent future occurrences. He also explained how to make things easier for my dryer. There was one item I needed to bring up to code and Howard pointed it out to me.
I thought that his charge for the service he performed and the parts he provided very reasonable.

This project turned out to be much more involved than just a cleaning. We are extremely pleased with the work that was performed and the knowledge we obtained on the problems that existed. Our venting system was not properly installed so it all had to be redone. I am confident in the work that was performed and my dryer is definitely more efficient. I even got a follow up call to see if it was working as he said it would. I am pleased to say-yes it does. I would recommend My Dryer Vent Guy He was well prepared to do all aspects of a surprise additional job.

I called Harold to come in and clean my very old duct work that we had; i knew from the get go that i was not up to code but i figured let me at least clean the ducts, as soon as Harold came in and took a look told me i needed new duct work; but here is where My dryer vent guy goes above and beyond. Harold doesn't just come in and install new ducts and leave you be, the whole process is an educational session where he gives you, the client different options and explains all the functions and reasons of the why and why not's. Even after a few days Harold calls in to check if all is ok or if you have any questions; overall i am very pleased with the services provided and to top it all off he provides you with a lifetime warranty on his work , as long as the provided maintenance instructions are followed. Very Happy Customers .

The project went extremely well. Harold (the Dryer Vent Guy) showed up punctually at 8 a.m. the next day, after presenting a very thorough estimate. He completed the re-venting job within two hours and under the estimated time, so the cost was actually lower than the estimate. He went beyond just installing the vent, but marked a place on the wall where the dryer should align in case it was moved, showed us how to keep the outside vent clean and guaranteed his work for up to 10 years. In the process we learned that Harold had been schooled specifically for dryer venting and is probably one of the most experienced dryer venting services in the region. He is pleasant, courteous and extremely professional. I highly recommend him.

He came by and inspected my dryer vent and explained to me all of his findings and provided me with a written estimate. He recommended a small repair and a cleaning.
After he did the repair and the cleaning he went over all his work with me and asked me if I had any questions.
He cleaned up after himself and took away the trash with him.

Pipe was installed across the cellar to the outdoor vent. He explained why the higher grade materials were necessary. And he
offered and installed a device to show when the vent needs cleaning by measuring the air pressure in the vent pipe. (He also pointed out an electrical issue in our basement for us to follow up on with an electrician.)
