 + -1 moreWhen I called Mell's Electric as a courtesy to confirm that I was going to use another contractor, Mr. Mell protested that he had already bought the supplies for my house. BUT I NEVER SAW ANY PAPERWORK OR FORMAL ESTIMATE; I NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING. Mr. Mell tried to guilt me over not choosing his company. When he came back for the $75, he blustered that "$75 was because he was expecting a bigger job". I gave him the check for $75, told him to say thank you and leave. Maybe he knows electricity, but he doesn't know courtesy or professionalism.
Description of Work: I needed a broken ceiling light inspected and reattached. Mr. Mell did that, gave me an estimate for upgrading to circuit breakers, told me it would be $75 for the service call. A few days later I got a slightly lower estimate for the circuit breaker job.
