IZZO'S ROOFING

We hired IZZO roofing on the recommendation of a friend back in 1998. Yes, I know this is dated, but I'm new to Angies list and this has eaten at me for all that time. - They put the flashing on the dormors on the OUTSIDE and tried to seal it..not only did that look horrible, it leaked causing us to get water damage. - Left plenty of extra nails for us...all over the lawn. (most reputable roofers use a magnet to collect them I'm told). - They put on a plastic ridge vent (which is FINE if done right) but they cracked it and tried to fix it with sealer..again..leaked during a major storm that summer and hallway ceiling had to be replaced as well as the ridge vent. They did come and do that at no cost after a lot of complaining. Problem was....the owner first tried to convince us to commit insurance fraud and say the damage was caused by the hurricane that hit a local community 20 miles away...was not the case. He relented one he realized we recorded the conversation. Turns out the friend who recommended him had issues as well shortly after us. We went with him becuase we were on a tight budget and he was about $2000 under other estimates...should have been a red flag.
